Last year I worked for a couple of weeks in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. I rode my bicycle every day in from Danbury past the elementary school, and had a number of close calls with cars on my commute. Sandy Hook is a beautiful place and yesterday’s news was devastating for me.
Cars kill a million people worldwide every year, and they wreck the climate. The only way to make the world safe is to ban cars, and knives, and scissors and everything else dangerous.
In 2009, Karst Roeland Tates tried to assassinate the Dutch Royal family by driving a car at high speed into a crowd. He killed or injured a couple dozen people watching the parade, including himself. Crazy people are going to find ways to do damage.
Children stabbed in attack at Chinese school

At least 22 children and one adult have been injured in a knife attack outside a primary school in central China, police say.
An officer said the attack, in the village of Chengping in Henan province, happened shortly before 8am on Friday, as students were arriving for classes.
The attacker, believed to be 36-year-old villager Min Yingjun, is in police custody, said officials.
A county hospital administrator said the man first attacked an elderly woman, then students, before being subdued by security guards. Two students have since been transferred to “better-equipped” hospitals outside the county.
China has witnessed a spate of school stabbings in recent years, leading to more security guards being deployed across the vast country.

According to the CDC…
“A house or apartment was the most common location of homicide for both males and females. (46.5% and 74.0%, respectively).”

Ban housing and we would immediately eliminate 60% of all homicides.
In order to curb fist fights, cut off everyone’s hands.
Then you’d be left with stump fights.
Lets take it one step further and just ban Metals entirely. This would solve all of the worlds problems, and force mankind to live within his individual means, closer to the land, as it were. . . And for a time it would create some needed jobs turning our existing refined metals back to ores and reburying them in the ground. After we get rid of metal, just think of all the co2 we wouldn’t be able to create! 😉
