It Must Be The Guns

The Bath School disaster is the name given to three bombings in Bath Township, Michigan, on May 18, 1927, which killed 38 elementary school children, two teachers, four other adults and the bomber himself; at least 58 people were injured. Most of the victims were children in the second to sixth grades (7–11 years of age [1]) attending the Bath Consolidated School. Their deaths constitute the deadliest mass murder in a school in U.S. history and the fourth-deadliest non-military massacre in U.S. history

We now live in a culture eager to embrace all the filth and evil it can absorb. Morality means only what is convenient, nothing is taboo. The only way we can go is down.

God or no God, you are always going to have lunatics.

    • Scott says:

Very true, but do you think the number of lunatics, or more precisely the number of lunatics acting on their insanity, has increased, decreased, or remained the same since the cultural revolutions beginning in the 60s and 70s that are continuing today?

It would be irrational to suggest that the number of “lunatics acting on their insanity” has changed over time. It’s a two-part thing (lunacy/acting loony) and we ourselves define both of those parts, and our definitions can and do shift over time. And a lunatic is just an outlier anyway, so if were were able to measure it, there would still be a pretty consistent number of outliers, cause that’s how it works.

      • Andy DC says:

I don’t know the statistics, but there was plenty of killing and gun violence in the 1920’s and 1930’s with Prohibition and characters like Al Capone at large.

Sadly, a guy in china stabbed a bunch of schoolchildren today. It’s never about the guns.

    fact is…this is nothing new
People have always…and will always….wig out
It not a product of lack of gun control….or modern society…or any of that other BS

What pisses me off is the focus right now on the killer….he was nothing more that some wigged out nut job

Somewhere up there there are Christmas trees with presents under them…and families in so much pain…we can’t even comprehend what they are going through

That’s who we need to be focusing on….

    • Me says:

Been there, circumstances were different, but presents under a Christmas tree not to opened.

I have three little angels of my own, all under the age of seven. I can barely begin to imagine the horror those poor parents are facing.

He felt that he wasn’t getting enough attention at home and that mommy the teacher was giving her time to these kids and now him and he decided to take his frustrations out on them. He was a piece of shit and it sucks that he is dead and can’t pay for his crime.

His brother said he had developmental problems and autistic…
..so yes, I would agree with you that is a possible scenario

He killed his Mom, took her car, and killed her children…..

Flashman, a U.S. Marine, is the son of a pastor at an area church where many of the victims’ families worship.
“From what I’ve been told, Adam was aware of her petitioning the court for conservatorship and (her) plans to have him committed,” Flashman told FoxNews.com. “Adam was apparently very upset about this. He thought she just wanted to send him away. From what I understand, he was really, really angry. I think this could have been it, what set him off.”

Adam Lanza, 20, targeted Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown after killing his mother early Friday because he believed she loved the school “more than she loved him,” said Joshua Flashman, 25, who grew up not far from where the shooting took place. Flashman, a U.S. Marine, is the son of a pastor at an area church where many of the victims’ families worship.

Adam Lanza attended the Sandy Hook School as a boy, according to Flashman, who said Nancy Lanza had volunteered there for several years. Two law enforcement sources said they believed Nancy Lanza had been volunteering with kindergartners at the school. Most of Lanza’s victims were first graders sources believe Nancy Lanza may have worked with last year.
Flashman said Nancy Lanza was also good friends with the school’s principal and psychologist—both of whom were killed in the shooting rampage.
“Adam Lanza believed she cared more for the children than she did for him, and the reason he probably thought this [was the fact that] she was petitioning for conservatorship and wanted to have him committed,” Flashman said. “I could understand how he might perceive that—that his mom loved him less than she loved the kids, loved the school. But she did love him. But he was a troubled kid and she probably just couldn’t take care of him by herself anymore.”

        I fuckin’ knew it.

It’s a shame that she as too late in shipping his fucked up little ass off.

I may be unconsiously selective, but it appears that the majority of major events like this occur in “liberal” areas. California, Virginia, Colorado, Montreal, Norway, Scotland, Germany. Even the two famous ones in Texas (Luby’s and UTA clock tower) were in the “liberal” Austin area.

The worst have occured overseas; Norway, Dunblane, Beslan (which was a terrorist attack), Montreal and two in Germany. But the media don’t mention these. Gun control is common in most of these places, too.

I am missing any? Especially in conservative areas?

And don’t forget the Rwanda Genocide: tens of thousands killed with machetes. Would you rather our mass murderers use machetes? That would make it a real challenge for the psychobabblers to comfort the survivors.
