I was shooting tonight, and placed an arrow directly down the shaft of another carbon arrow. The odds of this happening are less than an entire year of above normal Antarctic sea ice.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

We’ve not had a full year above average for Antarctic sea ice area for the satellite era Steve, so you are incorrect as that has not happened, but your arrow has π
Andy
Yes we have
http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2012/11/28/12-straight-months-of-above-normal-antarctic-sea-ice/
That’s not a full year Steve, that is you picking 12 months. Wait till 31st December, I am pretty sure you will have 2012 fully above average.
Andy
So when is your birthday? err do you have to wait till 31st December?
I’m pretty sure that 12 months is a year.
Andy you missed this part:
“Today marks 365 consecutive days of above normal Antarctic sea ice.”
He never stated it only for year 2012.
!2 months is a year unless you are an acolyte of Mannian math?
You are thinking January 1 to December 31 while Steve was running from November 2011 to November 2012 thus it is indeed 365 days which is a year.
Try reading the link again Andy and wwwwwake up while you are at it.
Andy~ Come the end of the year, it will be a year and a month-Plus.
A baker’s year.
I am impressed! Not only the odds, but you also have to be a damn good shot!
It was weird, I heard plastic shattering and couldn’t see where it hit, so I thought the arrow had disintegrated when it left the bow. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I walked up to the target.
That is sooo cool Steve! … that has to be more difficult than a hole-in-one! (which still alludes me).
That is a cross bow bolt isn’t it?
Still nice shot, not often you see that.
Steven do you have one of these…

I am thinking about getting one, but don’t have one yet.. 450 fps and dead quiet. They are pretty pricey, especially for the standalone versions.
Yeah, pricy is right but deadly accurate…
The problem with crossbows is that it takes a minute or two to reload. I don’t see how they can call it a “tactical assault” weapon. You would be better off with compound bow in a combat situation.
Yep, it’s probably tactical assault by it’s quiet design.
So what do you use then?
Ah, but Robin Hood could do it to order. π
Only if he attached a message to his arrow could he place an order, other than that he would have to do like every other chump and do it the easy way, pick up the phone and make a call. π
very nice. I’ve done the same with aluminum arrows and my compound while shooting indoors at 20 meters. But only once and years ago. lots of arrows between occurrences. I’m no robin hood but one need not be so accurate to be tactical, and I have the venison in my freezer to prove it.
Well anyone can the venison in my freezer to prove what ever they say, but yeah tactical has a lot of different meanings from being silent to a blitzkrieg. π
err your freezer, π
