1972 Shock News : Ice Age Coming – Arctic Melting – New York To Drown

Another good find about the founder of CRU.
I particularly liked the last paragraph where you have your choice of religious belief – the ice age cometh, or build the ark because all the ice is melting.
It’s great to have a theory that can cover all outcomes, and never be wrong.
Of course Appell would likely tell you these stories were made up; the head of the CRU would not have been crazy enough to warn the world of global cooling. Or at least other scientists around the world did not agree with him. You know, obscure scientists like Schneider.
Yeah they were misquoted, err something over and over and don’t say anything about it.
I’ve thankful that you saved the screencap, Tony, because Google News Archives seem to no longer contain or list either The News & Courier or its successor, The Post & Courier, and your search link no longer works.
