There are many things I do not like about GMAIL. One of the things I do like is the history of the IP addresses that have logged into the account. I check that regularly.
I also like that it supports two-factor authentication. I would suggest everyone use it.

This may seem a little off-topic (from Arctic sea ice extent, anyway), but I have started to post the following comment twice before on other Goddard posts this morning, but have stopped myself, because I don’t have a definitive solution. With that caveat:
What they [the Insane Left] want, in a word, is revenge (which they feel they can only get, by getting absolute control). And wanting revenge is living in the dead past, and refusing to come out of it. The world has changed beyond their ability to “fix the past”. They can only fix themselves, but their faces are turned precisely away from that truth. They are so afraid of evil, they want to erase the “evil past” (as they see it) by forcing the world back in time–and so they have become what they most fear, evil itself. And climate science has dragged science into that maelstrom. When the irresistible force (truth) meets the immovable object (mass delusion, compounded by institutional fraud), the inevitable outcome is war.
That’s a good description. But then it begs the question. One of the favorite tactics of the left is demanding reparations for past deeds (they want to pay the dead I guess). Yet they have never apologized for their own misdeeds – not once. Slavery, Jim Crow, KKK, Poll Tax, internment, segregation – all liberal manifestations that they have never said they were sorry for – or indeed ever repudiated.
Makes you wonder what about the past they want to change. Maybe the ending of slavery?
I think it’s simpler than that Harry.
They all seem to have a guilt conscience about their private wealth and income, especially so if they feel they have done nothing special to earn it. (You probably won’t see this sort of reaction from ordinary businessmen who have worked their way from nothing, while risking their own capital.)
So, the their group tends to include people who have inherited riches, showbiz luvvies, academics etc.
Because they feel they are not entitled to their riches, they want to make sacrifices to the gods. But, as with the Aztecs, it is someone else that pays.
They are so so morally corrupt that they are unable to fix themselves.
