My friend Anne passed away today, as a result of some mistakes she made three decades ago. She started with marijuana, then got addicted to cocaine – after using it once. This lead to a contaminated needle, hepatitis C – and some incompetent medical workers finally finished her off. She was much too young.

It’s always terrible when you lose someone close who had addictions. I remember when my dad lost his leg and nearly his life a few years… I blamed the beer at first. It can be frustrating when you know there is nothing you can do. It doesn’t get much worse than that helpless feeling.

Addiction is a catastrophe in anyones life, it causes trouble for all that are near it. You have my heart felt condolences.
Sucks. Steve, I’ve pointed out about widespread vitamin D deficiency in the past. Vitamin D therapy would have helped a lot but unfortunately, a lot of medical doctors don’t seem to know much about it. I wrote something about it on facebook one time and this medical doctor jumped in and asked about it. From what I can tell, it’s not something they teach in medical school in such depth over it. Israeli doctors did experiments over vitamin D therapy with conventional therapy for Hep C and it worked very well. The dosage wasn’t much but higher than what is recommended in USA. At least, more and more medical doctors are becoming aware of it. Just have to hope that it moves fast enough because the current recommendation for vitamin D is badly outdated. Bad enough that it would take 10-30 years to fix this mess created by idiots that didn’t do experiments right.

But there may be a valentine presented to her on the other side.
