Dear Grace! Saw the Airplane and the Doors in an all-nighter at the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm way way back … September 1968 I think. A fun night of raucous rock ‘n roll.
I have profited from them hugely in the past (done some high dosage supervised sessions which helped me hugely). Mushrooms are medicines of the spirits, not narcotics. And I would add to that – no fucker has the right to tell me what I can and cannot ingest.
Ah – however, I am told what I may NOT ingest. And it is your opinion that it is just a drug of the mind. I know otherwise. Have you ever worked with mushrooms?
What you are “told” and what has been stated here is not always the same. Learn to discern the difference.
And the stupidest argument I ever heard about trying psychotropic drugs was when I was in high school, and an acid head told me I could not “knock them until I tried them”.
I have not tried arsenic or cyanide either, nor do I intend to try. I trust science (when it is used) to tell me what they work on. And also to differentiate between a physical attribute of man (the mind) and a metaphysical one (the spirit). The former can be affected (altered) by physical stimuli, the latter only by metaphysical. Last I checked, mushrooms are physical.
Jeremy, as I said, I did not fall for the false logic back in high school, nor do I now. As you are welcome to do what you want with your body, I was not telling you what to do with it. Sadly, you cannot extend the same courtesy.
I am merely stating science and using a value judgement to not impair my mental capacity with things that have not been shown to be beneficial. And in the long run, detrimental. As always, you can deny science all you want. There is a large number of people doing exactly that.
So it’s the mushrooms! 😆
Don’t laugh. Warmists actually believe it: Biofuel That Grows Like A Magic Mushroom http://www.treehugger.com/renewable-energy/biofuel-that-grows-like-a-magic-mushroom.html
That is such a great song and if it fits wear it
The funny part is – 50 years later, they still believe in magic pills.
“Remember what the dumbass said “Feed the Fed, feed the Fed”
Good one!

Well, son, I’m 61 and I still do mushrooms now and again. Keep me on my cosmic toes 🙂
I do mushrooms as well – in salads and saute’s. I do not need psychotropic trips to keep me on my toes.
I have profited from them hugely in the past (done some high dosage supervised sessions which helped me hugely). Mushrooms are medicines of the spirits, not narcotics. And I would add to that – no fucker has the right to tell me what I can and cannot ingest.
If you notice, no one is telling you what to ingest. I suspect you recently ingested some to come up with that hysteria.
What I did say was that I needed none. I do not care what you do – as you indicate – it is your body and mind.
But do not confuse spirit with mind. It is a drug of the mind, not the spirit.

Phil,
You are absolutely entitled to your opinions, but as you have never worked with them, sadly, you don’t know what you are talking about.
That’s me done. You take care.
