I’m not sure that Vostok Station is the best example, seeing that it’s at over 11000 feet elevation. 11000 feet is going to be cold almost anywhere.
Ummmm….. Almost all of Antarctica is at high altitude, because there is two miles of ice.
It would still be below freezing at sea level. In the middle of summer.
