A new report published by a liberal think tank offers an intriguing solution to the problem of global warming: work less, and carbon emissions will be reduced.

After four more years of printing money, Obama is hoping to bring unemployment up close to 50%.

The down side is that unemployed people will try to cut cut down all the forests and eat all the Pikas to stay alive. This is where DHS comes into the picture.

This explains so much. Now we know why Obama was in Vegas and unavailable during the Bengazi crisis. He was working less to save the planet. It’s also good to know that all that CO2 Obama emits flying to Hawaii is being offset by his not working.

This raise the prospect that I should be paid as a source for carbon credits if I sit on my ass all day and do nothing! How reat is that? This would also mean that the greatest climate change champions are those people in a coma. Do you think McKitten is dedicated enough to become comatose in order to save the planet? He just might be, although I know many here already think he’s comatose from the neck up. 🙂

I think that idea sucks much less than the finnish model, where they just keep raising our taxes and lowering our purchasing power while at the same time demanding we work longer and longer to keep the money flowing to the welfare state.

They are actually saying that if you have the skill and brains to work, it is irresponsible not to do your best and support the society with your taxes. But if you don’t have any useful* skills… have some money – it’s free! An unemployed single mother with 9 kids can get social benefits worth 5600€/month – AFTER TAXES! That is about twice what an average working mother gets as her salary – before taxes.

Somehow this whole downshifting thing is becoming really tempting.

*) Useful = you can make more money than you cost to the employer. Something that is increasingly difficult to do as the tax burden gets heavier.

You are starting to get the idea.

Debt and War are the twin pillars of the Revolution. You are on to the debt part. The perpetual wars are just as manufactured, and just as destructive. You should not accept that the corporate-Government-media complex only lies about one thing, and not another. Get a clue.

Debt and War: America will be crushed by one or the other, or both if necessary.

The environmentalist dream for America-no work and no money to play. Something we can all look forward to!
