Ladies and gents, the wonders of carbon dioxide! Just like it can reverse causality with CO2 /temperature changes, it can also reverse time during the melt season.
You misunderstand: there are two equally perfectly correct measurements, but numerically different, occurring that the same time.
There are not really spirals, there are in actuality only artifacts due to the underlying physics. Its all quite simple and obvious, really: but you must be a NASA-accredited climate scientist in order to understand the complex issues involved, and still call them simple and obvious.
The CO2-driven death ‘spirals’ are real: do not doubt to the Experts. Only idiots do not understand that Thought-scientists have learned that only scientists are capable of thought. Failing to acknowledge this obvious scientific truth, is a form of mental illness, which fortunately is treatable by jail-time.

I do Steve, all day and every day… and only on your site do I find superhuman efforts to find ever thinner silver linings in the clouds.
One has to ask why were there “unusual winds” affecting ice export through the Fram Straight – a process that has been relatively stable for millennia.
Whatever the cause, the Arctic is toast, and positive feedbacks are already in play.
Brilliant. Walt Meier says that the Arctic was ice-free sometime around 5,000 years ago. Obviously the Arctic climate is not stable.
