The increasingly desperate AGW climate science team has gone from being simply prevaricators to now posing as stand-up comedians. Their claims of melting sea ice causing more cold weather is a real side-splitter. It certainly had me shaking my head and laughing. Next, they’ll be pronouncing that “up” is really “down.” Oops, they’ve already done that with their latest comments about declining Antarctic ice, which, of course, is on the increase.
My guess is that the ringleaders behind the now-discredited AGW theory will cling to their prophecies of impending global warming doom as long there are research grants to be had and headlines to be made. They are a greedy, dishonorable bunch who long ago abandoned any semblance of integrity.
Historians will look back at this madness and realise that it was paid for science. These scammers are delivering to governments what they want to hear. Even if the world started cooling they would try to find a mechanism that blames co2.

Obviously Northern USA and Europe is back-radiating the cold from the Arctic warm-melt cooling.
Snow in Minneapolis today, with more expected by midweek. Exceptional cold continues with places in ND averaging 10-15 degrees below normal for April.
Interesting note on the anomaly map. The baseline is 1901-2000 from CRU. So that shows how chilly that really is. Blizzard conditions with 6″ of snow for me for a while tonight. More to come by next Wed.
Melting ice requires energy input and temperatures above zero.
The result is that melting ice does cause cooling of the surrounding environment as witnessed by ice in your drink.
The problem climate scientists have taking this line is it admits it is the Sun that causes warming after all, not CO2, despite their decades of absurd claims that the Sun can’t be responsible.
This must be so because once the melting ice has sucked all the warmth from the surrounding environment it needs more energy input else it will simply refreeze.
Of course the fact that the actual temperature in the Arctic is only briefly above freezing point doesn’t matter in cloud cuckoo land inhabited by the team.
I’ve seen absurd claim trying to explain not only the no increase in temperature for more than a decade – most involve a warm atmosphere sinking (?) and driving the cold air out of the Arctic or warm water sinking (?) and taking the warmth to the bottom of the ocean.
When will someone in academia simply say enough is enough and laugh out loud at such absurdities ?
Bismarck, ND had it’s record April snowfall today of 16+ inches with more forecast for later this week.
So much for declining April snow in the Alps. I thought it was melting earlier and earlier. Warmists’ predictions now failing in slow motion.
