Politicians mandate coverages of conditions such as hair transplants in some States. Such absurd coverage drives rates up for everybody and of course the insurance companies get blamed. They should send out letters telling people that the rates have to go up since they have to pay tens of thousands for a new head of hair and for pregnancy , drug treatments, etc. The public should be able to choose what coverage they want and not have the govt. tell them. The Nation is losing or maybe lost its sense of independence and a spirit of self-reliance. People would never expect an auto insurance company to pay for a wreck that happened before they were insured. You can’t insure for pre-existing conditions because it becomes welfare, not insurance.

I just looked up Cigna. In 2012, they had 1.6M net profit on 29.1M gross revenue.

They are going to shut down things like National Parks and monuments, the things that will impact the public the most and hopefully will blame the other party. They could save a ton of money by turning those over to private enterprise to manage.

I worked in the Maryland/DC area for 4 years during the late 70s and it’s probably tthe top 10 for the most strip clubs, topless joints, etc. in the Nation. I remember being shocked seeing a porno theater a few blocks from the WH. I loved Maryland in those days but hated going into the District.
