My apologies for being off topic here. Steve, maybe you could drop in an article on this? … Did anyone watch the rebirth of the Cosmos program this past week? In this one-hour tour of the universe, I counted three references to global warming and the greenhouse effect. First was the “runaway greenhouse effect on Venus”; second was our imperilment of the Earth from coal burning; third was “powerful greenhouse gases” causing the Earth to be hot in prehistoric times.
I noticed the same crap. And the host, Neil deGrasse Tyson, is a leftist that appears on Bill Mahrer and MS-NBC, far from an objective scientist that we would want to have hosting such a show that is supposed to entertain and enlighten us and not instead depress us with leftist propaganda. Bad choice by Fox for a host, and I assume this Fox is not the same as Fox News.
These short under the radar references to global warming in the MSM in shows like Cosmos or news programs or whatever are the most insidious. They are given as fact, and are mostly free from rebuttal, and much of the public will just accept it as they say. This is why, despite all the evidence supporting our case, and climategate etc, we face a gargantuan task of convincing the public that the leftist climate change propaganda is baloney. We need to somehow get at the root of the MSM problem here, or expose this despicable bias fully to all of the public.
I stopped watching as soon as they mentioned Venus. Saved me a good amount of time and aspirin. I hear the ratings are abysmal.
I was around as an adult to watch the first Cosmos series with Carl Sagan. It was great for a good nap with the spacey, dreamy, music and dull voice of Sagan. A few episodes in it caused me to shut off the TV and go outdoors to do something useful.

Amstutz was VP of Cargill. He wrote the WTO Agreement on Ag in 1995. (Even Clinton admitted that agreement lead to starvation and riots of 2008) Amstutz then wrote the Freedom to Farm act in 1996. This law was later called the Freedom to Fail act as US farmers over produced and grain prices dropped like a rock. Grain traders used the surplus of very cheap grain to bankrupt farmers around the world. This was actually a KNOWN US policy as Clinton has just admitted.
Amstutz was also responsible for wiping out the US grain reserve system. How to fight a food crisis: To blunt the ravages of drought and market greed, we need a national grain reserve… the 1996 Freedom to Farm Act abolished our national system of holding grain in reserve.
Amstutz then went to work for Goldman Sachs. This has always puzzled me until I finally ran across the last piece of the puzzle.
