Noah Thwarts The WWF

In the blockbuster movie Noah, god is a similar character to Prince Philip. He wants the animals to survive, and the humans to go extinct. Russell Crowe genuinely wants to kill his family in order to keep the WWF happy, but relents at the last minute and thwarts the WWF’s attempt to make humans go extinct.

If you were expecting the movie to be anything like the Biblical story of the same name, you would better off staying home and watching Gilligan’s Island reruns.

So tell me, was the message lost in translation?

I think it was just lost.

  2. I could tell by the TV ads, which showed war scenes entirely reminiscent of “The 300”, it was a fake. Those scenes, together with Russell Crowe, told me all I needed to know. And both Jennifer Connelly AND Emma Watson–I saw both in the ads, in all but subliminal snatches–were thrown to the wolves who made this fiasco.

That would be Prince Charles. Prince Philip, by all accounts, is a far more sensible fellow:

Michael Mann was hoping tropical storm Sandy would do the same.

Bummer news. ATF is banning the import of your cheap 5.45×39.

  6. Ben says:

    Steven,

Would you consider a post about this ban?

    Thanks

Thank God for the reinstitution of Gilligan’s Island reruns! … I have been enjoying them for the past few weeks.

  8. Sundance says:

We need to remove all the servants and guards at Prince Phillip’s estate and replace them with all animals. How long would it take for Prince Phillip to become dinner?

  9. Chip Bennett says:

Oh, come on now. Who doesn’t like a good rock-monsters-and-aliens, sex, violence, and environmentalism sci-fi film disguised as a Biblical story?

I remember the “good ole days” when the WWF was the World Wrestling Federation with Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, the Junk Yard Dog and George “the Animal” Steele. We would do well to return to those days. At least George “the Animal” Steele was a high school teacher in real life with a modicum of intelligence, unlike Pauchuri and his gang of greedy thugs.
