What To Expect In The UK’s Future

  • In 2000, CRU said that children won’t know what snow is
  • In 2003, they said that heatwaves are the new normal ( I was at the beach in Christchurch a couple days before the heatwave started, and froze my ass off.)
  • In 2010, they said that cold snowy, winters were the new normal.
  • And now in 2014 they say that appalling storms are the new normal

Writing in The Telegraph, Dr Williams says that the “appalling” floods and storms that devastated parts of Britain this winter were a demonstration of “what we can expect” in the future.

The new normal is that society has reverted to the dark ages of trying to blame the weather on other people.

    They’re learning from their mistakes ? /sarc

  2. Mark McGuire says:

“were a demonstration of “what we can expect” in the future.”

This repeated lie is an example of the lack of logic required to ‘believe’ in global warming.
Does it mean the future is here now?
If it is going to get worse in the future, how can it be an example of the future now?
If we survived this example of the future now, won’t we survive the future as well?
What is the method used to tell the future?
If they can predict the numbers involved in a extreme weather event, why doesn’t this future prediction come with next weeks lotto numbers?

Belief in man made global warming is peak stupid.

    Mencken’s hobgoblins are running amok.

Next they will be warning us that Mondays will be on the increase.

  5. Bob Greene says:

Predictions are difficult, especially about the future.

  6. Cheshirered says:

It wouldn’t half be handy to have a chronological list of these alarmist predictions that are subsequently contradicted by events and / or yet more contrary predictions. All on one handy little at-a-glance guide. It would reveal the contradictory stupidity for all to see.

  7. The only thing the Insane Left will see, and appreciate, in the above post, is “…I froze my ass off”. That’s good, they will think, down deep. The rest is just so much spilled ketchup on that bit of fine steak, to them.

  8. mwhite says:

This is the report from the met office stating that in future Britain would experience all kinds of weather!!!

  9. Anything is possible says:

Unprecedented extreme mildness here in the UK today. The carbon Gods must need appeasing again.

    Sigh.

“Weather cooking” is what they called it before the Modern Warming.

Miserable, cold, extreme weather characteristic of the Little Ice Ages led to crop failures, frozen Thames River, and spread of diseases. Women were burned as witches thought to have caused these calamities (no doubt, their punishment was “consistent with the consensus” of the time)

Listen to Harvard’s Sallie Baliunas describe the situation. There’s rich irony in her presentation, given that she and Willie Soon were widely scorned for pointing out correlations between climate and solar cycles.

Solar science is winning this debate.

  11. Robert of Ottawa says:

The British Isles have always had appalling, unpredictable weather.

  12. Shanna M says:

Perhaps you need to graph out the number of virgins sacrificed vs changes in weather?

    • Gail Combs says:

Nah, make it politicians. More people will go for the idea. Besides where are you going to find any virgins? Politicians are a lot more plentiful and we could do with a lot fewer.
