Today’s Sea Level Fraud From The University Of Colorado

In 2004, the University of Colorado showed 35 mm sea level rise from 1993 to 2003. Screenshot 2016-02-23 at 06.08.44 AM

They now show 45 mm sea level rise during that same period, using the same data set.

The overlay showed how the University of Colorado has altered the data since 2004, to suit their funding needs.

They are not alone in this effort. The overlay below shows how NASA has similarly altered their tide gauge data, to hide the fact that sea level rise slowed dramatically after 1950.

NASA Sea Level Fraud | Real Science

In 1982, NASA showed 1 mm/year.  Now they claim 3.3 mm/year. They have more than tripled sea level rise by simply altering the data.

Eighty-six percent of tide gauges are below 3.2 mm/year.

NOAA says that sea level rise is only 1.7-1.8 mm per year – just over half of what CU/NASA claim.

the absolute global sea level rise is believed to be 1.7-1.8 millimeters/year.

Sea Level Trends – Global Regional Trends

Anyone who accepts this obvious fraud as science, is clearly not a scientist – or a serious human being for that matter.

More fraud? That great DMI chart showing Arctic ice extent – the one showing a record increase in Arctic ice starting last September compared to the past 10 years – is no more as of yesterday. What in the world is going on?

    Check it out: http://ocean.dmi.dk/arctic/old_icecover.uk.php

The GIA “correction” might actually be the worst example of data tampering in the entire “Climate Change” family of sciences. Instead of focusing on sea LEVEL, they have applied a correction which adjusts for changes in VOLUME, and then completely misinterpreted it for the non-technical. Seems pretty deliberate to me.

You are correct that the GIA “correction” might be the worst example of data tampering. They are no longer reporting an ACTUAL sea level. They are reporting a VIRTUAL sea level, ie. what the sea level WOULD BE if their assumed (not measured) global level of the sea floor had not sunk.
This “correction” knowingly causes a ever widening divergence between tide gauge data which measure an actual sea level and the satellite SL data.
The ~0.3mm annual “correction” was added when the satellite SL rise had slowed below the 3.0 mm/yr value, in order to keep it “scary”.

Eventually the satellites will show that Hansen was correct and that Manhattan is under water, even though it isn’t. All these “adjustments” are a corruption of true science.

  3. GoFigure says:

With annual sea level rise so miniscule, a change of a couple of mm is probably within the error of uncertainty -even with accurate data – so meaningless in any case. Compared to the 400+ foot rise, the annual changes are now basically ZERO. It’s absolutely ludicrous to worry large percentage changes from ZERO

Check a graph of sea level which covers the past 15,000 years, and these little annual “vibrations” are just that. The big picture, the real trend, remains obvious. Sea level is topping out. The next ice age cycle may not be far off.

The alarmists in the Big Apple may soon be measuring the rate of increase of a glacier sitting atop their city, and that reached a mile high during our last ice age.

    “worry” should be “worry about”

    Uh, oh……
    caught…..hands……cookie jar
What’s a climate scientist to do when funding is on the line?

  6. ScienceABC123 says:

If the data doesn’t support your point of view, then change your point of view not the data.

  7. FTOP says:

This is a blatant attempt to move the goalposts. Temperature is going to turn negative with the dissipating El Niño, so the team is moving over to another tragic concern in SLR.

By pointing the faithful to the shiny object on the side, the climastrologists can continue to rake in coin. The theme will change from “we’re all going to fry” to “we’re all going to drown”.

  8. Sam Pyeatte says:

NASA has totally destroyed their scientific reputation. From professionals of excellence during the Apollo years to witch-doctor central during the Obama years. It will take a generation to repair. The same damage has been done to the nation’s University science departments everywhere. Thus is the legacy of the criminal far-left political agenda encouraged by Obama.
