Climate scientists have no idea what they are talking about and repeat the same lies decade after decade, but they do know that scaring people keeps the money coming in.

There is no need to invent new lies if the old ones still work. All benefits of the UN and the environmental movement may self-destruct if promoters fail to admit and correct flaws in the foundations of physics.

I want to play poker with climate scientists. They don’t understand math or odds. Probably would believe their own fantasy, adjust a heart into a spade in their own head, and bet like they have a flush when in fact they have garbage. Just saying.

Great work! But the sad fact is, Dr. Hansen get plenty of ink the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and our gracious host gets zilch, and that’s the problem.
Guys/gals– Of COURSE he’s going to blatt on using the same tune….. it’s worked, as the Brits say, a treat. We can bitch/moan/whine until the cows come home– no diff., his and all the hottie-hysterics’ pensions and salaries trump [erm] the truth. And bitching won’t effect change. We’ve also helped perpetrate a ‘Perfect Storm’ where they produce ‘models’ and we whine. We have to PROVE it’s BS and it’s very easy to do because there is NO “CO2-sensitivity.” I bought a CO2-meter and did it many times. Yes, it’s tricky outside because even the slightest breeze changes the [CO2], but it can be done and if some of you want to help, we could do it at TH’s place or some central spot near DC. As a wee aside, each of us has CO2 in our bodies. The medics all use O2/CO2 pressures and it works fine. But they never, ever calc. what their CO2-volumes are– no need to. If you’re a healthy non-smoker, your [CO2] is ~ 6.3% or 63 thousand ppm.
Gawd! Hansen promised 2 degrees in two decades in 1986. It is now 30 years later. And there has been at most 0.17 degrees warming per decade. He got it wrong by factor of 6.
And no acceleration in SLR at coasts.
There’s no acceleration of sea level rise according to the satellite data either.

Seems like we should be using satellites to help determine which tide measurement locations are geologically stable (not rising or sinking relative to the center of the earth) and then we should be looking at sea level rise at those stations. As I’m sure you know, it is sea level at the coast that really matters for most human concerns and not what it is in the middle of the ocean. Some areas that are geologically sinking will have to deal with faster sea level rise rates, but again it is the tidal measurements at the coast that matter.
True, but for twenty years scientists argue about the “Palmdale Bulge” an area of land thought by some to be rising over a foot due to pressure on the San Andreas, until debated over and over. If the satellites are undependable in measuring land, they have no chance of anything except false precision with the global oceans.
So you are correct, the tide gauges where we live easily trump satellites.
They’ve wisely moved the imaginary doom date of planet Earth to somewhere beyond their own lifespans.
Saves a lot of embarrassing climbdowns later.
Communist wish to disconnect people from their history, if you rid a society of lessons learned from experience you get this crack pot nonsense like this and no one(except the creator of this blog of course) calls him out on it. Newer generations aren’t taught what was said before (read history) and as such he gets away with it. The old green is the new red.
Hansen’s claims make no sense when the two strongest US hurricanes were in 1935 and 1969. When the deadliest hurricane was in 1900 and the most damaging hurricane, adjusted for inflation, was in 1926.
When by far the deadliest tornado was in 1925 (without hitting a major city) and by far the worst heat waves, droughts and crop failures were in the 1930’s.
That was before they adjusted the death tolls.
Never forget to note the good old “may” and “could” qualifiers that are almost always used by these purveyors of doom and gloom.
So, he may be right, but he could be wrong, and in these instances, he was wrong.
Come to think of it, he hasn’t been right yet.
