I know this is your blog Steve but I would think it’s better to keep the message on this website on climate and less politics. It’s easy to preach to the choir but we need to get to the “other side” as well and it’s harder to with posts like these (no matter if they are correct or not). I do like Bernie although he is completely bonkers on the climate change issue.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

Well, he’s also bonkers on his “right wing extremist party” and a couple of other minor details. Not that I’d want to spoil it for you but Bernie is a package deal. ?

And when did climate politics stop being politics?

    • RAH says:

“climate change” IS a political issue. As Tony demonstrates about every day it is more about politics than science or the environment. And the fact is that to a large extent the line between those that believe and those that don’t follows the partisan political line. Politics and “climate change” cannot be separated on the national/international level anymore than local Boulder, CO politics can be separated from the fight to save the local wet lands. Both are political/legal fights.

      • Colorado Wellington says:

I reckon anyone arguing that the massive worldwide climate change campaign against CO2 is not politics falls in one of two groups:

        1. Had not given it enough thought or is avoiding the subject
        2. Is outright lying

It is highly likely that Ari is in the first group but I think he shouldn’t listen to me. It is much better to read what the
        campaigners themselves said and did
at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, for example, and watch what they’re doing every day in the public sphere.

        Here’s a tidbit:

Former Senator Timothy Wirth, representing the Clinton-Gore administration as undersecretary of state for global affairs, stated that public concern about global warming could be used to advance that cause: “We have got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.” Wirth now heads the U.N. Foundation which has lobbied for hundreds of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to help underdeveloped countries fight climate change.

Ari would also do well to enter “Marxism & climate change” in his favorite search engine. It may be enlightening to him.

If they could think rationally, they wouldn’t be Democrats.

    • Andy DC says:

A huge percentage of the “other side” is closed minded and unreachable. I suppose there is maybe the 20% in the middle that are open minded. But the other side does not mind making their side of the issue very political and part of a far larger package deal, one that includes restricting freedom, not allowing our side to be heard and a nanny state that fits the definition of world socialism or communism. So I suppose there is little for our side to gain by not opposing their anti-American political views.

    • Mac says:

I would suggest that you go to another website then. Part of exposing the globalist climate scam is illustrating how insane, violent, and unhinged leftists have become since the Age of Obama. I think the entire issue of liberal mental illness has to be addressed. Bernie Sanders is a corrupt anti-America communist liar, who believes in man-made climate change. His calling anyone who isn’t a commie a “right-wing extremist” is a perfect example of leftist thuggery and totalitarianism, of which climate change religion is a large part.

  2. arn says:

Someone should tell Sanders that 99.9% of all muslims are 10.000 miles
more rightwing than this rightwing republican party.

I yet have to meat a single one who is pro abortion, pro gay marriage
    and pro transsexuals.
They won’t even allow other religions to built there temples .

And i still wonder why he doesn’t care about this facts and never says a word, even worse he adore them.
But he feels so insulted by the republican party??
I guess we all know the reasons and they are the same reasons why he doesn’t give a shit about the fascist political correctness and the witch hunt we can see in media((while pretending he is 100% against fascism and witch hunts)

  3. Now you know how libertarians feel. We are the party least dominated by worshippers of invisible friends–this is the true meaning of right-wing going back to the French Terror. Yet the worshippers of the Political State (beginning with Robespierre and Danton) point to us and shriek as if we had anything in common with the mystical bigots of the Tea, Prohibition, Consta2shun or National Socialist parties. In truth, these parties, the Greens and the CPUSA all agree unanimously that the initiation of coercive, harmful and deadly force is the absolute necessity for anything resembling civilization. The dividing line is in the range of attitudes regarding science v. superstition and aggression versus retaliation.
