Scientific Integrity On The Decline In Climate Science

Heidi Cullen’s Climate Central claims that emissions from your SUV are causing a decline in North American snow cover, due to winter precipitation falling as rain instead of snow.

Snow Cover on the Decline in North America | Climate Central

Fascinating theory, except that winter snow extent has been increasing in North America for 50 years.

Annual snow cover has been increasing in North America since CO2 reached 350 PPM.

Current snow cover is far above normal in North America, and climate experts are now blaming all the excess snow on global warming (of course.)

According to scientists, when global warming isn’t causing a reduction in snow, it is causing an increase in snow.

But never mind the increasing snow and record snow on the ground, Wired says ski areas are suffering from a lack of snow. Particularly in California.

Last winter (2016-2017) was the snowiest winter on record in California with 63 feet of snow, and they are buried in snow again this year.

That picture of the lack of snow seems to be Ellmau Alps Ski resort in Austria and was taken in March 2017- not exactly the middle of winter.

This year they have plenty of snow.

  2. Mike says:

How do the charts look so different? Is the year period defined differently, e.g. Jan to Dec versus June to July? Or is climate central just making stuff up? Seems like this is a big difference.

“You basterd, you lucky lucky bastard…

Today I had to get up “4” hours before I when’t to sleep, walked to work up hill both ways, thru a blinding snow storm, and…

I got a beating when I got back home !

    And today I was lucky….. ”

    Right then, off ya go
