    Tony, below is an historical Australian drought image (source Uni of NSW) including the historical annual rainfall record of NW NSW farming town, Gunnedah, as an example of the frequent droughts that affected that region.
    Rainfall is a better record of climate change in Australia because of the continuing ‘homogenization’ of the historical temperature record by the BoM. The BoM also ignore the pre 1900 temperature as unreliable.
