Trey Parker and Matt Stone got this exactly right more than 15 years ago.

  1. Phil. says:

Yes, who would have thought that we’d have a TV show host as President, Parker and Stone were close.
Of course what Baldwin actually said was:
“The way we implement change in America is through elections, in that orderly way, we need to overthrow the government of the United States under Donald Trump”.

    • RAH says:

We had a movie actor as POTUS and he and Trump have been the best two of my adulthood.

    • Gator says:

Yeah, they tried that and lost. That’s why leftists are becoming increasingly violent towards everyone else.

    • tonyheller says:

People wanting to win elections don’t use terms like “overthrow the government.” This is a transparent call for violence from leftists, with an extremely thin veil of plausible deniability.

      • Phil. says:

This is a transparent call for violence from leftists,

By explicitly saying not to use violence?
Trump on the other hand promises to pay your legal fees if you get into trouble for beating someone up at his rallies:
“knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell … I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise,”

“The way we implement change in America is through elections, in that orderly way, we need to overthrow the government of the United States under Donald Trump. Not in a violent, awful way, but it must be overthrown nonetheless.”

        • Gamecock says:

Seriously, Phil, you don’t know what ‘overthrow’ means?

‘To bring about the downfall, destruction, or ending of, especially by force or concerted action: a plot to overthrow the government.’

Calling for overthrow of the government, but then saying be nice about it fools no one paying attention.

          • Phil. says:

Well Gamecock perhaps you should pay attention:
The way we implement change in America is through elections, in that orderly way, we need to overthrow the government of the United States under Donald Trump”.

          • tonyheller says:

When Sarah Palin put a crosshair over Arizona on her election strategy map, Democrats blamed her for a shooting.

But calling for the overthrow of the government is OK with Democrats?

          • Phil. says:

But calling for the overthrow of the government is OK with Democrats?

As long as it’s done electorally as proposed by Baldwin. I would expect that all Democrats would want to defeat the Republicans in the upcoming elections.

          • RAH says:

Phil, explain to us how the democrats winning in any election would “overthrow the government”?

A change in the party in control of either chamber of congress or the WH through the due process of an election is not overthrowing the government.

        • Gator says:

The last time we overthrew a government here, it was very violent. Then our founders set up a peaceful way to transition power, through voting, not through “overthrowing”.

I believe actions speak louder than words…

On Tuesday, actor Alec Baldwin was arrested after bicycling the wrong way on a road and then refusing to present identification to police. “He became belligerent, yelling and screaming at the officers, ‘I don’t have ID. Just give me the f***ing summonses,” said one of the officers.

“They don’t even know who I am,” Baldwin complained at the stationhouse.

That seems to be Baldwin’s excuse for everything he does. Here are the top *** newsworthy Alec Baldwin moments:

Assaulting a Photographer. In 1995, Alec Baldwin was arrested after allegedly punching a photographer for videotaping “the homecoming of the actor’s wife, actress Kim Basinger, and their newborn daughter,” according to police. Baldwin apparently told the photographer that he was fine with him taping the actor, but didn’t want his baby on tape – a perfectly reasonable position. It became unreasonable when Baldwin allegedly punched him in the nose. This incident prompted Whoopi Goldberg to congratulate Baldwin at the Oscars. Unfortunately, that also prompted Baldwin to continue such behavior for years into the future.

“Rude, Thoughtless Little Pig.” In 2007, someone released tape to TMZ of Baldwin blasting his 11-year-old daughter as a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” He also said she needed to have her “ass straightened out.” Baldwin stated in interviews that the release of the tape made him consider suicide. His daughter would later write, “Just like almost all of you, my Dad has made some mistakes in the past. He has spoken out of place, he has let his temper get the best of him, and he has reacted toward things in ways he shouldn’t have.”

Words With Friends. Baldwin was sitting on an American Airlines flight on the runway at LAX in 2011 when he was told to put away his phone. As he was busy playing “Words With Friends,” he refused. He then became nasty and the plane was docked, at which point Baldwin was removed from the flight. He apologized to the other passengers, but not to the airline or the authorities.

Getting Violent With Another Photographer. In June 2012, photographer Marcus Santos of the New York Daily News accused Baldwin of getting violent with him. Santos said that Baldwin “comes after me, starts shoving and punching me – one time, right in the chin.” Baldwin tweeted that same day, “A ‘photographer’ almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded.”

…And Another Photographer. Just a few days later, Baldwin allegedly got aggressive with another photographer, and shouted, “I want you to shut the f*** up…leave my neighbor alone…get outta here.” He then apparently stated, “I know you got raped by a priest or something…You little girl.”

The N-Word Incident. In February 2013, a photographer for the New York Post filed a harassment claim against Baldwin, alleging that Baldwin had accosted reporter Tara Palmeri, grabbed her arm, and stated, “I want you to choke to death.” The photographer then alleged that Baldwin called him a “coon,” a “crackhead,” and a “drug dealer.” Baldwin denied the allegations.

“Toxic Little Queen.” In June 2013, Baldwin went ballistic on a British reporter who stated that Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, had been texting during James Gandolfini’s funeral. He tweeted, “Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.” He then continued, “I want all of my followers and beyond to straighten out this f***ing little b****, George Stark.” And then, “I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f***…you…up.” He later apologized.

“Cocksucking F**.” Despite the “toxic little queen” incident, Baldwin was hired in August 2013 to host a Friday late night show on MSNBC titled Up Late with Alec Baldwin. That fell apart after five episodes after he was caught on tape railing against a paparazzi, calling him a “c***sucking f**.”

So I’m certain that this time no leftists will take a cue from good ole Alec.

        • sunsettommy says:

This is why no one should be saying, “overthrow the Government”

          18 U.S. Code § 2385 – Advocating overthrow of Government

Baldwin has been an ass for a long time.

          • Mr GrimNasty says:

I think the Film Actors Guild were actually pussies – but sometimes pussies get so full of **** that they become a**holes themselves……….so perhaps you are right.

        • spike55 says:

““They don’t even know who I am,” ”

A mindless actor that wouldn’t know real life if it kicked him hard up the kazoo.

And like many ordinary actors, he is totally full of himself.. guess what….

YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT, little Arec !!

        • spike55 says:

Yep, Trump is offering to help pay medical bills if his supporters defend themselves against leftist thggery

The only reason democrats would go to a Trump rally would be to cause trouble.

Groups like the facist totalitarian cowards of Antifa bring it with them, and its more than passed time they got a bit of their own back.

      • Anon says:

You could start by defining the terms: Is the government the party in political power or the Constitutional apparatus?

If a side is advocating for the popular vote, ignoring the electoral college, blowing up the WH, or packing the SCOTUS, one might infer that that they mean the later.

If on the other hand they mean Trump, then a more appropriate term, if they mean “elections” might be “re-overthrow” as the government of the Left was overthrown in 2016.

It seems to me that the expectation of those on the Left is to live in a society where the “government never changes”?

For entertainment purposes only: Will the Democrats run a democratic nomination process, where the voters decide, this cycle or will it be a more nuance faux-democratic facade where one candidate is guaranteed the nomination in advance?

    • TimA says:

Hollywood is full of radical socialists hellbent on violence…just ask Orson Bean….

  2. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Must be really horrible to be Alec Baldwin right now.
Alec Baldwin: ‘Every Day I Wake Up, I Still Am Horrified’ Trump Is President (15 Oct)

    • Colorado Wellington says:

      I don’t know, Bruce.

Phil is way more horrified by the Trump presidency but Baldwin steals the headlines.

      That’s not fair.

  3. jb says:

Has any asked Kim Basinger for a comment about this guy’s sanity?

  4. Squidly says:

The term for this is Sedition .. and the penalty for Sedition can be quite severe, including capital punishment (death). Calling for the overthrow of our government is not something taken very lightly .. and shouldn’t be.

  5. Snowleopard says:

    From the Union Leader article:

“We win because we know how to win,” said New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley. “The reason is grassroots. That’s the reason New Hampshire Democrats led the nation in increased Democratic turnout in 2014 and 2016 — and we’re going to do it again in 2018.”

The actual reason was that they brought in busloads of “new voters” from Massachusetts. New Hampshire has laws against that of course, but certain city wards are likely not to enforce them, and that’s where they go.
