CO2 Forgetting To Trap Heat In The Arctic

Last year, temperatures were not as cold as they usually are near the North Pole.  This was blamed on CO2 trapping heat.

This year, temperatures are very cold near the North Pole.  Apparently CO2 is getting lazy with its heat trapping capabilities.

CO2 appears to be a very fickle gas.

Lazy and fickle indeed! I think it’s starting to believe all the things the left is saying about it and doesn’t think it has to work anymore, thinking the left will work for it, and it’s right.

  2. R Shearer says:

Have to modify the theory. CO2 only affects the arctic on even numbered years.

  3. Brian D says:

    Forecast for continued cold.

  4. GCSquared says:

It’s those pesky southern oceans, hoovering up heat from the Northern Hemisphere, liberating even more runaway CO2 as they warm, and violating the Second Law of Thermodynamics in the process. There: that explains everything.

Am I missing something here? The second plot, for Arctic temperature this year, shows the temperature finally touching the mean on day 20 of this year. That’s one point. Isn’t it a little premature to conclude what the trend is for this year, or are you just trying to keep up with the MSM?

In any case, I’m not that alarmed by warm winter temperatures, since they’re well below freezing anyway. Actually, ice extent should have decreased a bit since the start of satellite observations in 1979, since that’s when it was so cold that there was talk of a new ice age.

How is the warming now any different from

  5. Lance says:

Actually, CO2 is pretty smart…it moves around, just to mess with Leftist heads!

    U r all nitwitz:=}

The ozone hole let out CO2, water vapor & polar bear farts. Therefore, nothing left to trap heat. Read notes to CHIMP6. DUH!!!

  8. gregole says:

2019 and CO2 over 400 ppm. You’d think it would be kicking in by now; heating the planet doncha know.

    When?

  9. establ says:

It’s going to get really cold here in the next week. That CO2 better get off it’s lazy ass and get to work!
