Civilization Prospers In Warm Climates, And Collapses In Cold Climates

England’s leading climate historian Hubert Lamb said people prospered during the Medieval Warm Period, and suffered when the weather turned cold.

Climate, History and the Modern World – H. H. Lamb – Google Books

It should be obvious to anyone with an IQ higher than a turnip, that humans do better in warm climates than they do in cold climates. That is why almost everyone in Canada lives along their southern border, and why tens of millions of Americans have migrated south.

Civilization prospers in warm climates … except when green activists impose policies that cause ecological, economic and social disasters.

  2. Ron Clutz says:

Geologist Gregory Whitestone provides a climate history lesson for warmists who skipped history classes protesting against global warming. His article at Town Hall is Ocasio-Cortez’s Climatology Lacks Historical Context.

“Whatever Ocasio-Cortez got from history classes during her time at Boston University, it wasn’t an appreciation of historical context because it is sorely lacking in her assertions about climate and its effect on humankind. She and others promoting the Green New Deal have the facts exactly backwards when they claim that warming temperatures are an existential threat to humanity.”

    • rah says:

Hell! She majored in economics and has demonstrated more than once that she obviously doesn’t even know the basics about that subject. And you wonder why she doesn’t real history Ron?

But what is one to expect? Paul Krugman has demonstrated time and again that he doesn’t know didley squat about economics, history, or politics, but is still writing on those subjects in the NYT!

  3. GW Smith says:

They tried the global cooling scare to control the masses, but found that global warming also offered the threat of apocalyptic flooding.

  4. griff says:

Except in prolonged droughts, which finished several pre Columbian American civilisations, for example.

    • Gator says:

Widespread droughts are associated with cooling periods you idiot, as they lock up moisture in ice. Did you forget that warming was supposed to increase water vapor. Why do you hate poor brown people Ms Griff?

    • Gator says:

Yes droughts, during the Holocene Climate Pessimum, a cooling period you idiot. Why do you hate poor brown people MS Griff?

  5. MrGrimnasty says:

I think it was an extract from Lamb I read about the climate change in Britain at the end of the Roman period. After AD 400 (or whatever) it got noticably wetter and the summers colder. Some Roman roads that had been dry for centuries first had to be built up, then eventually raised up above the new marshland, and crops that had previously flourished became impossible to grow.
