Climate Fraud Could Crush Australia’s Economy

The climate fear mongering being pushed by the press in Australia is off scale.  Latest being that the five day Boxing Day cricket test match (Australia’s biggest sporting event according to MP Craig Kelley) is going to get too hot.

Extreme heat due to climate change could send cricket’s Boxing Day Test into extinction, researchers say – ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

I plotted all December 26-30 temperatures at all long-term rural and urban GHCN (Global Historical Climatology Network) sites in Australia, going back to the 19th century. Most show cooling, and none show any significant warming.

Urban

Australia needs power, and it needs a rational discussion about climate based on data rather than superstition.

Three years on from the South Australia blackout, the dangers of our rush to renewables are even clearer

Meanwhile Australia’s greatest export by far is coal and their largest customer for that exported coal is China! What more evidence does one need to understand that the government’s claim to be concerned about the environment and global climate change is Bull Hockey?

  4. Bob Hoye says:

Australia is the World’s largest exporter of coal, and very big on exporting uranium and natural gas.
All sold at competitive prices and largely to Asia. Regions that are permitted to use low-cost energy. Which Australia provides.
Asia makes competitively-priced goods and sells then to Oz, which citizens’ purchasing power is impaired by being forced to use high-cost electrical power. As generated by wind turbines and solar cells.
    Politically Correct but Economically Insane.
How long will ordinary folk put up with the nonsense.

  5. Small typo… Craig’s surname is Kelly… not Kelley. Caused me to check :-)

    Otherwise a good article Tony.

Tony, you will be very interested in the following paper:
    https://greatclimatedebate.com/wp-content/uploads/CO2-Cooling-Chilingar.pdf

“The proponents of this (AGW) theory take into consideration only one component of heat transfer in atmosphere, i.e., radiation. Yet, in the dense Earth’s troposphere with the pressurepa> 0:2atm, the heat from the Earth’s surface is mostly transferred by convection(Sorokhtin, 2001a). According to our estimates, convection accounts for 67%, water vapor condensation in troposphere accounts for 25%, and radiation accounts for about8% of the total heat transfer from the Earth’s surface to troposphere. Thus, convectionis the dominant process of heat transfer in troposphere, andall the theories of Earth’s atmospheric heating (or cooling) first of all must consider this process of heat (energy)–mass redistribution in atmosphere (Sorokhtin, 2001a, 2001b; Khilyuk and Chilingar,2003, 2004).”

The paper concludes that, if anything, CO2 helps to cool the atmosphere, not warm it.
    AGW is one huge scam.

    But then, you knew that.

Please keep up the amazing work you are doing. I enjoy receiving your daily updates and find the research you are doing most useful. You never know what this new year will bring.

Thanks, I need access to more stuff like this that I can send to my alarmist friends – you know, the ones who say they prefer to believe in ‘scientific fact’.

      • Tony’s work is excellent. I can’t speak highly enough of it. If you can, please donate to him. I have (and I have absolutely no connection to Tony – business or personal at the moment). You might also like to go to https://globalwarmingsolved.com/ Their work is also excellent and innovative. My group have been in contact with them and we are very impressed by the level and sophistication of their science. They have a number of essays that you may find useful. My site is http://www.nvtech.com.au/Climate/AGW.html but a lot of the stuff I use there I have obtained from Tony’s efforts so you are unlikely to encounter anything you haven’t already read in the past. Good hunting.
