As global warming would have resulted in the desired mass starvation long time ago if any of the Apocalyptic predictions came true (they did not come true therefore global warming either does not exist or is beneficial and therefore nothing we should fight – en contraire life always benefited from warmer periods and even a warm interglacial ain’t warm compared to periods outside an ice age),
they have to help the catastrophies to happen,
by artificial pandemics, blocking sun,sterelizing people and soil.
Btw – I think your minus 7 billion guess is way too conservative as,
a )we pretty much had this population number when Malthus came up with this ideas. And he already thought 250 years ago that the planet is way overpopulated.
b) The 2 billion number postulated by Ehrlich and Holdren in EcoScience was revised with the Georgia Guidestones to > 500 mio just 3 years later
(and iirc only a selected few languages were supposed to still exist in this scenario)
