According to climate experts, earth’s temperature started rapidly overheating around the year 1910, and is now skyrocketing in a hockey stick.

For some reason, nobody noticed this hockey stick in the 1990 IPCC Report.
Keith Briffa didn’t notice it either in his 1998 temperature reconstruction.

NCAR didn’t notice the hockey stick in 1974.
“Droughts, floods, blizzards, tornadoes, typhoons and hurricanes have plagued much of the nation and the world in recent years. Most people considered these weather conditions to be abnormal and temporary, but instead, climatologists now believe that the first half of the Twentieth Century was blessed with unusually mild weather and that the global climate has begun returning to a harsher — but more normal — state.
For the long run, there is mounting evidence of a worldwide cooling trend. The average temperature of the world as a whole has dropped by one-third to one-half a degree Centigrade in the last 30 years. “The decline of prevailing temperatures since about 1945 appears to be the longest-continued downward trend since temperature records began,” says Professor Hubert H. Lamb of the University of East Anglia in Britain.
Global cooling may be at cause of the devastating African drought, now in its sixth year. Some scientists believe that expansion of the cold polar air caps pushed the monsoon rain belt southward, causing many of the life-giving rains to fall on already fertile lands or into the sea. Dry weather conditions also prevail in parts of India, China, Kenya, Bolivia and other countries on both sides of the equator, raising the specter of even more serious drought and famine.”

During the Holocene Maximum, trees grew at much higher latitudes and altitudes, and the Arctic may have been ice-free.

It shows that, broadly speaking, the tree line, and thus the temperature, has been falling for at least 3,000 years. The vertical red line marks 400 AD. Let add 2 more facts:
1) The 1st graph’s temperature plot is just one of it gross errors. Another is claiming humans thrived in the green, stable climate zone. To the contrary, humans repeatedly suffered grievously, including mass die offs and the Dark Ages.
2) Ancient beach ridges are only 1 piece of evidence that Greenland was much warmer in the past than today. Another is year round settlements along Greenland’s northwest coast between 900 AD & 1500 AD. Some settlements had farms. Probably all used open water between Iceland and Canada for transportation, fishing & hunting.
There is a reason why the oldest known Austrian mummy (Ötzi 5K years)was found up in the
mountains.
It’s the same reason why the Denisova Cave was inhabited thousands of years ago though its average Temperature is just a few degrees above the freezing point.
It used to be way warmer in those places – even with no hockeysticks around.
Just by considering the massive sea level rise that happened during that period of time and that it almost stopped by now
one wonders how this so much cooler ancient climate
combined with much more ice and a much higher Albedo has lead to all the previous melting?
Is there an updated graph comparing this year’s named storms to previous years in the offing?
History is not a friend to what passes for “climate science” today. There is a noted climate alarmist who writes a Sunday column in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. About once a month he spews his climate doom. I have written him two emails challenging his alarmism. He only replied to the first calling me a flat-earther. He claimed he is a geologist and a scientist. The following is part of what I wrote in the second email to him:
“History is my field and it adequately demonstrates that humanity thrives during warm periods such as the Roman and Medieval warm periods. Humanity suffers during cold periods such the Dark Ages Cooling and the Little Ice Age. Despite Michael Mann trying to eliminate the Medieval Warm period in his fraudulent Hockey Stick Graph the MWP existed and the history is irrefutable.”
“We are living in a climate optimum now. Humanity has never had it so good. And the big reason is fossil fuels. We live longer, are better protected from the weather with climate deaths down about 90% since 1900. Same thing for wildfires. Despite the truncated graph from the Department of Agriculture that eliminates most of the 20th century, wildfires are down.”
I wrote him a rather long email and the above is part of it. He chose not to reply to me. He didn’t write anything about his alarmism in last Sunday’s column possibly due to it being written before the election. But I fully expect him to be crying doom for humanity in this Sunday’s column. If so I’ll write him a third email. Yeah, I know it’s a waste of time on my part.
You never know, even religionists can be knocked off their donkeys by blinding light.
Climate doomers / alarmists are science deniers, by definition.
Your time & effort are better spent educating the public via print & digital news sources willing to report reality rather than parrot propaganda.
Even if their manipulated data were correct, the obvious follow-up question would be: What was the temperature like before 120,000 years ago, and how long was it like that? Which is the anomaly: recent cooler temperatures or ancient hotter temperatures? Geologically, we see ancient levels of CO2 during the biosphere period (I.e. since life has been on Earth) were much higher. Is it possible that we are living in a downturn of the biosphere and those higher levels of CO2 and associated temperatures are required over the long haul for sustained, robust life on Earth?
Funny though, that “hottest weather in 120,000 years” has never shown up on my backyard thermometer. So, it’s a good thing we have paid government scientists documenting the heat and producing graphs from interpolation, homogenization…
…and downright fraud.
