Reblogged this on Catholic Glasses and commented:
Jesus have Mercy, on the states surrounding Lake Michigan.

Hey cg, just a comment — and note that this is not meant to be in any way disrespectful of your beliefs. By the way — nice blog you have there.

I am not Catholic, but often think of the Catholic Church when I hear warmists spout that “97% of climate scientists support Climate Change!” My response to them is “Do you agree that the Jesuits are, as a group, the world’s leading experts on Catholic doctrine?” The usual warmist response is “yeah, so….?” To which I say, “Well, MORE THAN 97% of Jesuits agree that the Catholic Church is the highest representative for God’s truth on Earth. Have you converted yet?”

It is not odd, huh? For CAGW cultists 97% (yes, we both know that number is made up) of “Climate Scientists” is apparently an unbeatable majority — but an even higher percentage of Jesuit scholars counts for nothing with them. People are funny…

It appears there’s also a record for Accumulated Ice Coverage for the season: http://iceweb1.cis.ec.gc.ca/Prod20/page3.xhtml

this is just weather, so it’s not news…

  4. Hugh K says:

This must be the “bad weather” Harry Reid claimed was evidence of the “dangers of climate change” after the Dem Senator’s all-night-fundraiserathon. Only more tax dollars to allow Reid to continue to commute 6,000 miles/wk can stop climate change.
Meanwhile, over 800 House passed jobs bills are sitting on do-nothing Reid’s desk gathering dust.

All caused by the mystery that is CO2.
    🙂

  6. Chip Bennett says:

This must be caused by all of the heat stubbornly hiding in the depths of Lake Superior, causing a quasi-polar vortex that has lead to convective freezing at the surface.

  7. gator69 says:

Does this mean we found the missing ice, or missed the foundering heat?

    • Shazaam says:

It would seem neither. The missing heat is supposedly at the bottom of the ocean and the “exceptional great lakes ice” is just an anomaly.

The great lakes ice just doesn’t fit any of those computer-generated fantasy climate models worshiped by the alarmists….

  8. Bruce of Newcastle says:

PBS Newshour yesterday had a story on this:

Coping with exceptional ice in the Great Lakes

It was a lot of fun – they managed to completely forget to use the words “climate” or “warming” even once in the whole story. Lots of puzzled head scratching amongst the PBS climate priesthood.

And were are freezing our bums off tonight as well here in Michigan.
