97% Of Climate Scientists Can’t Answer This Question

During the 1930s, as much as 80% of the US suffered severe to extreme drought. What caused this?

If you can’t answer that question, then you certainly are not competent to claim that you know what causes current weather patterns. If you do make that claim, then you are either a fool or a liar.

  1. I’d say it was caused by a lack of rain, with 97% certainty.

  2. Gator says:

I would guess that it was a massive failuire to manipulate raw data and/or weather stations.

  3. Banatu says:

Everybody knows back then the earth was covered with so many polar bears that their fur absorbed all the rain before it hit the ground.

  4. Andy WeissDC says:

Very simple. Every 3 year old knows that climate models are much better predicting the future than they are predicting the past. And there is also a bridge in Brooklyn that I’d like to sell you.

That is a good question. What would the climate models show if they ran them backwards with decreasing CO2? Probably that in 1934, the average summer temperature in Kansas would be 10 degrees. Someone should call them out on that.

    • Daniel Packman says:

Interesting question. Any model that contains dissipative terms isn’t symmetrical with time and at least theoretically, can’t be run backwards.

So how’s that socialism and communism working out for you…………

Also, what caused the corresponding heat waves in the 1930s?
“The 1936 North American heat wave was the most severe heat wave in the modern history of North America. It took place in the middle of the Great Depression of the 1930s, and caused catastrophic human suffering and an enormous economic toll. The death toll exceeded 5,000, and huge numbers of crops were destroyed by the heat and lack of moisture. Many state and city record high temperatures set during the 1936 heat wave still stand to this day.” Wikipedia

During the 1930s, as much as 80% of the US suffered severe to extreme drought. What caused this?

    FDR did it.

  7. Dr. Killpatient says:

It was a “Nature Trick”. Very tricky indeed.

  8. The decade of the 1930s is unique, wherein the all-time record high temperature in 25 of the 50 states in the USA were set.

Next time a global warming alarmist tries to tell you we are getting warmer than ever, ask how many all-time record high temperatures were set within the last 10 years.

You should get a blank expression as a response.
