Nuclear Blowtorch Needed

Reggie’s Arctic row this summer will probably require a nuclear blowtorch, powered by Brawndo.

If Isaac Newton Had Been A Climate Scientist

If Newton were a climate scientist, he would have called gravity “elevation change

Some days the apple would fall, and other days the apple would rise. The acceleration of gravity would not be a constant, and would always be updated by the latest peer-reviewed research.

Apples would be forecast to become increasingly violent over time (mostly towards women and children) and fall earlier or later in the year.

The behavior of a falling apple would be much too complicated for laymen to understand, and the experts would call for anyone who challenges them to be jailed or burned at the stake.

2005 : Climate Experts Wanted To Evacuate The Coasts

October 4, 2005
Some Experts Say It’s Time to Evacuate the Coast (for Good)

By CORNELIA DEAN
PENSACOLA, Fla. – As the Gulf Coast reels from two catastrophic storms in a month, and the Carolinas and Florida deal with damage and debris from hurricanes this year and last, even some supporters of coastal development are starting to ask a previously unthinkable question: is it time to consider retreat from the coast?

Yes, said Howard Marlowe, president of Marlowe & Company, a lobbying firm that represents counties and local governments, often in seeking support for coastal infrastructure, like roads, sewers and beach replenishment. “I think we need to be asking that and discussing that, and the federal government needs to provide leadership,” Mr. Marlowe said.

He added, “I have never been an advocate for the federal government telling people that they have to move out, but it’s important to have a discussion at all levels of government about what can be done to make sure more people do not put themselves in harm’s way. It will not be an easy dialogue.”

Since the 2005 hysterics from the experts, the US has experienced the quietest period on record for hurricanes.

The Real Climate Hurricane Effect

Nine years ago, a few weeks before the last major hurricane to hit the US, Real Climate said that global warming was going to cause more category 5 hurricanes.

September 11, 2005

“The available scientific evidence indicates that it is likely that global warming will make – and possibly already is making – those hurricanes that form more destructive than they otherwise would have been,” declares an analysis by five climate scientists at www.realclimate.org.

Hurricanes derive their power in part from warm water, and so forecasting models show future hurricanes becoming more severe as sea surface temperatures rise. One summary of 1,200 simulations published in the Journal of Climate last year showed that rising levels of greenhouse gases could triple the number of Category 5 hurricanes. (A link to this study and others appear below this column.)

Moreover, there’s empirical evidence that hurricanes have already become more intense (but not more frequent). Nature magazine this summer reported a new study by Kerry Emanuel, a hurricane guru at M.I.T., indicating that by one measure hurricanes have almost doubled in intensity over the last 30 years.

That reflects natural cycles as well. But Professor Emanuel writes: “The large upswing in the last decade is unprecedented, and probably reflects the effect of global warming.”

The Storm Next Time – New York Times

A few weeks later Wilma hit, and since then the US has had a record nine years without a major hurricane strike.

More Evidence That Global Warming Theory Is Failing

Global warming theory requires that the stratosphere cools, and it isn’t happening. There has been no stratospheric cooling since the dust settled after the 1993 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo.
