Joe Biden made some nonsensical commitments to cutting back greenhouse gas emissions by 50% in the next nine years, while trying to bring millions of new people into the country. One of the reasons he did this was apparently to demonize meat.

Arrhenius made the same mistake in the 19th century of not recognizing water vapor as the dominant greenhouse gas, and the claim of 30X for methane is a baseless number which climate alarmists have been steadily inflating for decades.

In the real world, Water vapor and CO2 are the only significant greenhouse gases. Methane comprises less than 2 ppm of the atmosphere and has very narrow spectral bands.

I generated the graph below from the RRTM radiative transfer model used by NCAR. It shows the amount of downwelling longwave radiation (DLWR) for H2O, CO2 and CH4 when concentration of each gas is varied from 1% to 100% of current levels. Varying concentrations of H2O produce large changes in DLWR, CO2 much less, and CH4 produces almost no change.  Methane is not a significant greenhouse gas on earth.

Five years ago, Scientific American said meat consumption was having staggering impacts on global warming, implying that 1.7 ppm CH4 was burning up the planet.

And a few months later they said we may have to move to Titan, which has an atmosphere rich in CH4 and temperatures of -300F.

According to the experts 1.7 ppm CH4 is burning up Earth and making it uninhabitable – but Titan is incredibly cold despite having so much methane in their troposphere that it comes down as rain.

Last year, whoever writes Joe Biden’s tweets said you can’t stop coronavirus by banning travel, and called President Trump xenophobic for banning travel from China.

After a successful coup against the president in January, the Biden administration has now banned travel from India, saying it is necessary to stop the spread of coronavirus.

This is the same science-free White House which uses these people to determine climate policy.

The way things are supposed to work in America is that government is responsive to the wishes of the citizenry, and the public actively debates different points of view. But politicians, the press and social media now tell the citizenry what they are supposed to think, and don’t allow any other opinions to be heard.

Ten years ago today, Joe Biden was in the White House and Donald Trump made these remarks.

US thermometer data (before tampering by NOAA and NASA) shows that temperatures were much warmer from 1910 to 1960.

The National Climate Assessment shows that summers were much hotter in the US from 1910-1960.

Fire burn acreage was much higher from 1910-1960, which isn’t surprising because heatwaves are normally associated with drought.

There is a close correlation between heatwaves and burn acreage.

The White House wants people to believe that unless the government “takes action” – they will did in a heatwave or forest fire.

The actual data wrecks the climate emergency story, so the Biden administration has erased the pre-1983 fire data, because they say it wasn’t official.

The real reason they deleted the pre-1983 data is because 1983 was the lowest burn acreage year, and by starting in 1983 they can make it look like burn acreage is increasing.

There is no correlation between CO2 and burn acreage, but by hiding the critical data the administration can deceive the public into accepting their destruction of the US energy industry.

On their first day in Office, Biden and Harris began this destruction of science, and called it “restoring science.”

Burn acreage in the US is down 90% since CO2 was at pre-industrial levels. The administration has also deleted this document.
