New York Times Forest Fire Fraud

Five years ago, the New York Times said 10.1 million acres burned in the US during 2015, and it was the most on record.

Wildfires, Once Confined to a Season, Burn Earlier and Longer – The New York Times

If they bothered to read their own newspaper, they would know that more than twice as much acreage burned in 1937.

October 9, 1938 – NYTimes

I pointed this out five years ago, and they silently changed the text without notice or errata.

The 10.1 million acres that burned in the United States last year were the most since before 1960, and the top five years for acres burned since then were in the past decade.

Besides the deceit of their silent edit, they failed to mention that burn acreage was higher in the vast majority of years before 1960. Factual information would have rendered their story meaningless.

If they had any interest in the truth, they would have reported that burn acreage averaged more than ten times higher when CO2 was at pre-industrial levels.
