That’s the funny thing about green energy — if it exists why aren’t we using it already?

The green/left has been saying that solar is on the verge of a breakthrough since the late 60’s. Hope (& change?) springs eternal.
As an aside even if solar was viable for anything other than niche applications there hasn’t been a single continuously sunny day this entire year (4 months in) where I live.
