Climate inaction risks children’s well-being
Cost-of-living pressures seem to dominate our daily lives and it is not often easy to think beyond tomorrow. But imagine a future where these pressures are exacerbated and then take the time to consider that we could have done something about them.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Aren’t there enough obvious, serious short term problems to worry about, rather than obsessing about low confidence matters, such as what the weather might be like in 100 years. Or whether we can do anything positive about it one way or another.
Actually, there is one minor thing people might have a concern: China.
1) our illustrative Chief Executive, Mr. Chicago “he made it worse” Politician, has ceded the moon and Mars to them,
2) they have a monopoly on rare earth metals (esp. for advanced technology)
3) getting to the forefront of super computers, aircraft carriers, etc
4) will have 23 million bachelors by 2020 for their army
5) are marginalizing the manufacturing capability of all other countries
6) talk is cheap and don’t give a d*** about that silly “climate” religion in the west
So, when they call due the “borrowed our way to prosperity” by demanding all the unused lands (Nat’l parks), under used women, idle children to be minions, etc,
=> they will be able to drop “environmentally clean” rocks on our heads if we don’t comply!
But then, we’re guilty sinners and don’t deserve our cushy lives!

How damning is the damage to the economy and standards of living for those future generations in the light of this “ethical consideration” assuming the CO2 hypothesis proves to be wrong (as it seems to be, stick with me for argument’s sake). It means that a misdirection of efforts and money and a deliberate shift of economic power from the first world by crippling itself to meet carbon dioxide limits to the developing world that doesn’t is possibly inducing a tipping point of its own: that of making future generations followers of the new powers instead of leaders of the current ones. Serving the future to China and their understanding of human rights and civil liberties on a silver platter does not improve the life of generations to come or the world as a whole.
Perhaps she needs to have that tattoo’d onto her forehead as advocated by her fellow countrymen. It will show conviction, and I may believe she is being honest not not just being a flake.
Or they just watched “Cartoon world of Global Warming — watch the message unfold” at (e.g.)

Ironically, “climate action” also risks children’s well-being (through economic hardship and flow-on effects), regardless of whether or not the theory is true. Brilliant.
