A New York newspaper printed a complete listing and interactive map of all legal gun owners in two counties. This provides criminals with an extremely useful guide to know which homes they can break into safely, and which ones they can’t.
The map indicates the addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. Each dot represents an individual permit holder licensed to own a handgun — a pistol or revolver. The data does not include owners of long guns — rifles or shotguns — which can be purchased without a permit. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location owns a weapon, just that they are licensed to do so.

The governor is determined to ban gun sales, so anyone who doesn’t own a gun now is screwed, and is an easy target for murderers, rapists and thieves.
None of these people on the map have committed any serious crimes, or they would have lost their license. If the newspaper staff consisted of journalists instead of criminals, they would have printed a list of illegal gun owners – not legal ones.

Good reason to go get a gun in that area….
Idiotic AG Lisa Madigan tried to do this in IL, but was wisely stopped after the law enforcement community objected using the same reasoning as Steve Goddard.
One might hope for a crime wave where those homes not marked get burglarized following by a public outcry and a series of law suits against the newspaper that drive it into ruin.
This map is also useful for perps who want to steal a gun.
