(CBS News) CHICAGO – There is a war going on — not overseas, but right here on the streets of America. A gang war has taken over parts of Chicago.
Over the weekend, 14 people were shot. Two were killed.
So far this year, there have been more than 2,364 shootings and 487 homicides.
Obama wants to turn the entire US into a living hell like Chicago, run by gangs using illegal weapons.

The gun “buy back” programs have started, right on cue. Of course those turning in old guns for 200 bucks will not go out and buy another gun, such as getting money for a rifle and then going out and buying a handgun. After all the “cash for clunkers” program worked so that people turned in old cars and then never bought another one and didn’t even have a second car. /s

Banning guns will merely create an underworld black market for criminals and thugs. Can’t see much to be gained by that.
I’m not particularly familiar with gun culture, being an urbanite Australian. But I did walk into my bank today and noticed the security guard standing by the door. I looked at him and said, “Where is your gun?”
He laughed and said, “I wish! They don’t give us guns!”
I then pointed out that very few bank robbers would rob a bank without a gun, so what was he going to do if that happened?
He replied, “I will run and hide in a corner.”

Instead of banning particular kinds of guns, wouldn’t it make more sense to place greater controls on those particular socio-economic segments that account for most gun crime? And lest I be accused of racism, I refer of course to democrat voters, be they poor white trash, afro-americans or those with a substance abuse history. The evidence is overwhelming. The greater the concentration of democrat voters the more extreme the gun crime problem becomes. And the USA has just held a massive census (some call it an election) that can identify exactly where the restrictions will contribute most to reducing the incidence of gun crime.
