Rotten Appell

David Appell has a new hobby, accusing me of ripping off the taxpayer by blogging on government time.

I don’t work directly or indirectly for the government, do not receive any taxpayer funding, and set my own hours during my normal 5AM to Midnight workday.  All of my work these days is for private graphics companies – most of which are located in Canada.

David also believes in global warming.

I doubt that David would understand working from 5 to midnight. More than likely it’s 9 to 5 with sick days, holidays and vacation days off.

  2. Josualdo says:

Maybe a mix-up with Gavin and Connoly (sp?).

  3. Edmonton Al says:

    Keep up the great work.
I am here most of the day every day.
I enjoy your sense of humour, and exposing the fallacies of the “alarmist” clowns.

    • I feel like I am in Canada. Almost everybody in Cabo San Lucas is from north of the (US) border. My kids have decided that Canadians are more fun than Americans.

      • LLAP says:

@Steve: Years ago, a friend of mine was vacationing at a resort in Mexico. There was a sign at the resort (referring to the staff there) that said, “We speak Canadian”. The few Amercian tourists who were there apparently were not amused!

  4. Zip Adee says:

Like the liberals in Mordor on the Potomac, Rotten A’s got no case, so all that’s left is to try and tear apart the reputation of those telling the truth.

  5. Me says:

    Merry Christmas again Toshinmack, 😆

  6. Stephen Richards says:

You should ignore the rotten apples. Their taste is appalling they are the colour of s&ét.

  7. Fred from Canuckistan says:

    Just checked out his blog.

    What happened to his face?

  8. kbray in california says:

As my mother used to say,
“One rotten appell spoils the whole barrel”.

    Once identified, cast aside.

  9. You mean like Gavin at RC?

  10. savebyj says:

When people do not have the facts on their side they will resort to personal attacks. I am at a point in my life that I don’t give a damn about what people like that have to say about me or others who fight for truth. Keep up the good work Steve.

  11. David Appell does not “approve” of pseudonyms; you know, using names like George Orwell.

Orwell wrote a lot on the dangers of fascism, in particular the concept of Though Crime. The notion that it should be a criminal offence to think certain thoughts or advocate particular ideas.

Appell in his sad little blog promotes the idea of punishing or criminalising those who dissent from his opinions and beliefs about catastrophic global warming.

When one has passion in exposing the false hoods of this scam, money is not important.Mr Goddard, you have done a tremendous job as with your friends compared to the unlimited amount of money pouring through the hands pushing this scam!
This is just a bit i think :
    USD

    Greenpeace $300m 2010 Annual Report

    WWF $700m

Pew Charitable Trust $360m 2010 Annual Report

Sierra Club $56m 2010 Annual Report

NSW climate change fund (just one random govt example) $750m

    NSW Gov (A$700m)

    Heartland Institute $6.4m

US government funding for climate science and technology $7,000m ($7B) “Climate Money”

US government funding for “climate related appropriations” $1,300m ($1.3B) USAID 2010

Annual turnover in global carbon markets $120,000m ($120B) 2010 Point Carbon

Annual investment in renewable energy $243,000m ($230B) 2010 BNEF

US government funding for skeptical scientists $ 0

These are annual turnovers or annual budgets

So what the expose shows is that the Heartland Institute punches far above its weight with an incredibly efficient budget. That is, of course, assuming that the so-called expose is real and not a fake, or altered, which it could be, watch the Heartland site for any confirmation or information.

This is a wake up call to the freedom loving people of the world, it’s time to make donations a regular part of your monthly budget to support all the people out there who work on your behalf (SEE DONATE BUTTON ON LEFT). The fact that Heartland has only one major, generous donor is remarkable. Where are the rest?

The hypocrisy is flagrant. The Sierra Club listed a category for $1,000,000 donations by “anonymous donors” in their 2010 annual report. Strangely DeSmog didn’t froth with anticipation. Their Sierra Club annual report mentions “Matching Gifts”, and apparently supporters who matched gifts include the evil Exxon, not to mention GoldMan Sachs, Barclays, Google, Monsanto, Nestle, Yahoo, Bank of America, and many many more. But that’s alright then.

With your use of history Steve it is the greatest thing to prove the retards wrong as many think history started in 1979(satellite use)

I would not care where your income comes from as i have a love of history to.Keep up the great work mate 🙂

    ROTFLMAO.
Do you know anyone that “works” for the Gubmint that holds an anti-AGW point of view – much less blogs about it?
    I don’t.

  14. squid2112 says:

I can certainly sympathize with your 5am to midnight. My day yesterday and today (nothing out of the ordinary) was 7am to 5am (22hrs), quick nap, meeting at 10am and still working now at midnight. .. I will probably nap at about 2am tonight (turning in early) and be back at it by 8am tomorrow (sleeping late). It is a rare event for me to have a holiday off.

This is certainly something the likes of an Asshole, oh, sorry, an Appell would not understand.

  15. squid2112 says:

Oh, and Happy Holidays to All!

And I am glad to see you have all survived doomsday! … welcome to the other side!

    • squid2112 says:

Yes, this means you too Appell, despite how much I despise you (and that is quite a bit), I wish you and your family all the best during these holiday! Be safe, be well!

    • Streetcred says:

Happy and safe Christmas to you to, Squid.

Awoke this morning following the apocalypse yesterday … must be in heaven, had a great round of golf today, managing to eagle one of our par 5’s … my buddies were also wiped out in the apocalypse yesterday and played this morning … they also reckon that their play today was heavenly. This apocalypse thing is great, I’m not even tired despite it being about +32C out there !

      • squid2112 says:

Very nice! .. I would like to get out on the course myself, but been too busy trying to keep the family fed. Not as easy to do as it once was.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas … and although I am not a religious sort, God Bless too! … the phrase still carries significance (with me anyway).
