Ban Assault Cardboard!

Roll that cardboard into logs with wax candles in the middle. Burns great in the wood stove or fireplace just like wood. Used oil works too. Recycling waste into heat for the home is very efficient and cheap. Smoke particles help rain form to break the “drought”. This is a win, win, win, win, win !!
A chimeny sweep (named “Hugh Mane”) told me that most chimney fires are from people burning paper in their stoves and fireplaces. Apparently it does not burn as completely as wood, and leaves a dangerous flamable load in the chimney.
Mix with water, and form a paper mache Al Gore. If you’re not a sculptor, you can use the picture of a Beluga whale to guide you. Cover with oil you were planning to throw on birds. Attach a home made Jado rocket in the buttocks of your sculpture, and send Al to that great Poodle playpen in the sky.
you get the prize
great use.
Maybe the next “Burning Man” should be a Gore effigy?
Is there another “waste stream” besides residential and commercial? If not, it sounds like cruel and unusual punishment, and cause for a class action suit.
Governmental waste stream.
What the hell are you supposed to do with cardboard, then?
Fort Collins actually uses streams to dispose of residential and commercial waste? You must catch some really deformed fish around there.
just burn it as is, or modified as my fellow Failifornian suggested.
Just one more reason to leave Fort Collins. I’ll lay odds, you did not know that at some time, the elected city fathers, sold their souls to the UN. Fort Collins is part of the sustainability USA movement. Here’s that link to that member list.

Steve – Maybe they just mean you should recycle it, or make a bulls-eye target for your arrow shooting.
In the Chicago suburbs, we recycle cardboard, unless it is contaminated with grease (e.g. pizza box), in which case it is garbage.
Send your assault cardboard and assault CO2 to Qatar. According to a PBS NewsHour climate change discussion last night (“Qatar Works to Invent an Innovative Oasis” http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/world/jan-june13/food_06-11.html ), “Seawater runs through cardboard panels, cooling the air in this greenhouse, where cucumbers grow in coconut fiber. And CO2 is pumped in from the factory next door, making the plants grow dramatically faster.”
