The drought of 1999 covered a smaller area than the 1988 drought, when the Mississippi almost dried up. And 1988 was a temporary inconvenience as compared with repeated droughts during the 1930s “Dust Bowl” that caused an exodus from the prairies, as chronicled in Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath.
How can the absence of clear climate change in the United States be reconciled with continued reports of record global temperature?
in the U.S. there has been little temperature change in the past 50 years, the time of rapidly increasing greenhouse gases — in fact, there was a slight cooling throughout much of the country (Figure 2).
It made no sense that the high quality US temperature record disagreed with his worthless global temperature graph, so Hansen did the obvious thing. He simply corrupted the US graph to match the crappy global data.
Hansen was a real scientist at some point in his life. But then he apparently felt insignificant. He felt much better when he could be a prophet of doom. Gave his life much more meaning.
There is only one term for this: “Drama Queen”

One very abrupt turn in science and world history occurred immediately after Stalin’s USSR troops captured Japan’s atomic bomb production plant at Konan, Korea in late August 1945.
Public knowledge was immediately forbidden of the force that generates food, fuel and energy from cores of :
1. Heavy atoms like Uranium
2. Some planets like Jupiter
3. Ordinary stars like the Sun
4. Galaxies like the Milky Way
5. Our expanding Universe !
That 1945 decision to hide the force that sustains life as part of our dynamic universe foolishly elevated world leaders to the position God had previously occupied as ruler of the world.

Climate Alarmists often seem to genuinely believe their own propaganda, possibly because they lack the critical thinking ability required to understand the nature of the fraudulent manipulation of data and the selective eradication of what were previously universally acknowledged historical facts, but whose very existence undermines the conjecture of Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming / Climate Change / Disruption / Wierding.
Skeptics, however, tend towards the view that within climatology, the proper process for proposing a conjecture, acquiring data and comparing theoretical prediction with observed physical reality has been seriously ignored, resulting in many climatologists becoming pseudoscientists marketing a substitute religion, disguised as science, for some ulterior motive.
The frequent allegations by Climate Alarmists that skeptics are motivated solely by vested interest does seem to be projection of their own motives upon others.
Many skeptics have traditionally regarded the majority of Alarmists as being well intentioned, though ill-informed people, who have become emotionally attached to a pseudo-religion, through being deliberately misinformed and led by a relatively small cabal of cynically evil people, who exploit the ignorance and idealism of the masses, for their own financial reward or the furtherance of their own political agenda, which seems to be the imposition of a global socialist or fascist international super-state, which will diminish personal freedom and expand the power of a massive, unaccountable bureaucracy, whilst simultaneously enriching a few, at the expense of the many.
However, many of the more prominent leaders of the cult do not seem to be receiving any conspicuously greater financial reward than they would receive by confining themselves to disinterested science but who also seem to believe their own propaganda, even though they have the intellectual tools to deconstruct it, seeming to prefer to invent ever more esoteric and unlikely justifications for their alarmism, which is manifestly unjustified by any objective physical data.
I believe that many of these more scientifically trained Alarmist Activists may suffer from some variant of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy.
They fabricate a crisis which threatens the whole world and then profess to provide the solutions required to avert the postulated crisis, thereby acquiring recognition as “Saviours of the World”.
Climate Alarmism among those who are aware of the scientific method may be evidence, not solely of cynical dishonesty, but also of a serious and potentially dangerous mental disorder.
Are there any psychologists who could propose any tests which could establish whether scientifically trained climate alarmists promote their exaggerated alarmist predictions in good faith, or cynically for personal or political gain or if they do so because they suffer from a serious mental disorder, which compels them to fabricate an illusory crisis, in order to receive recognition as saviours of the world.
It doesn’t really matter the reason. In Hanson’s case, getting arrested three times probably means no test is needed.
