There are 31 Illinois HCN stations which have been active since at least 1920. Every single one of them set their all-time record maximum temperature before 1955. All of th records were set in the years 1901, 1930, 1934, 1936 or 1954.

July 1955 still stands as Chicago’s hottest month on record. The fact that record is still standing after 60 years does not exactly show a dire need for a huge tax increase to fight non-existent global warming.
