The same southerly winds which brought relatively mild air to the pole, pushed the ice edge back in the Barents Sea. The main effect of the wind is that it makes the ice thicker near the pole, and will be harder to melt next summer.
Lots of new ice formed this week in the Hudson Bay and Chukchi Sea. How long will we have to suffer these fools?
