Another great presentation Tony! Short and to the point, I like that. ;-)

    Keep ’em coming…

    Great stuff, keep it coming.

    Another excellent video.

The Trump Administration needs to do something similar to what you have done. Millions of people watched, or will watch, as Scott Pruitt bumbled his way through Chris Wallace’s interview on Fox. Your type of information needs wider coverage.

I also agree with RAH that around minutes is perfect. Enough time to make a few good points and not too long so as to lose interest/attention span of the typical viewer.

  4. RAH says:

It is good that your keeping your videos at around 5 minutes or less I think. People without a real interest in climate or weather forecasting and recording will not endure getting into what they would consider the minutia of the details of how it is or was done. They just need to see that it was done. But eventually after presenting all the evidence your going to have to make a video telling people WHY it has been done and keeping that a simple short presentation will be more difficult I think.

We need a lot more of this stuff. We won some battles but the war is far from being won . I only hope the new administration doesn’t change its mind the same way it did with Syria.
In my humble opinion, it is better to stop to be the ISIS air support.

Thanks, Tony, for using your talents to show the public how government science has been misused to deceive and control the public.

  8. Gonzo says:

Great job Tony!!! Ditto we need more of this from you. I’d love to see a bit on glacier bay and glacial ice in general. Cheers

  9. Colorado Wellington says:

Very effective, Tony. Even muddle-headed short attention span graduates of public schools and parents pressed for time trying to make ends meet should be able to sit through this. And if we could make them, certain elected representatives and administration officials would benefit from learning how to articulate the problem.

I suspect that we’re all familiar with the fake news out in the LAT’s this past week. They actually published in today’s Sunday print edition on the front page. The article falsely promotes that the Columbia Glacier was calving itself to death during the late 1970’s – suggesting that it was in rapid retreat. Hmmm.

According to Ommaney, (page 251) it’s noted that the glacier than advanced over one kilometer from 1966 to 1980 the glacier again completely fill the large proglacial lake.

Further, he finds that, “The glacier receded rapidly from the 1920’s to the 1960’s (fig. 9), but has advanced about 2 km between 1966 and 1986.

    • garyh845 says:

Ooops – correction . .errr deletion. That the Columbia icefield glacier in Canada – not the Columbia glacier in Alaska. Tony – you have my permission to delete it, pls.

      PS – great videos.

The presentation was good, but I couldn’t read any of the writing on the newspapers you were citing. Reading them wasn’t necessary for understanding, but I wonder if you intended for others to be able to read the newspaper clippings. Might need a little higher resolution if that’s desired.

    • Advocatus Diaboli says:

In case it helps: I watched the video on a PC monitor in full-screen mode, and the clippings were readable no problem.

You tube videos detect the download speed of the device you are using and lower the resolution if it is low.
You can adjust it, but it may take a while to download enough to get started.

  12. Advocatus Diaboli says:

Thanks for the video, Tony. Fantastic — keep ’em coming!

I have posted your first two videos on a political board which I frequent, and the response/interest/discussions have been great.
