The Two Year Old Party

Democrats are like two year olds. They can’t get through a day without protesting something. Here they are in Denver protesting the overheated atmosphere.

I agree. A major symptom of the very obvious mental illness called “liberalism” is the obsessive idea that something is always wrong. Something needs to change, now. We’re all in danger from some unseen natural force, and we have to fight to save ourselves. It’s really a cultish mass neurosis based on paranoia, self-loathing, and fear, masquerading as a political movement.

Plain and simple, they’re violent crazy people, and they’re totally out of control these days. Liberalism is so primitive and infantile. It’s the political philosophy of an emotionally troubled and angry child who ruminates endlessly about death, hunger, disease, and of course, the weather, even if there is really nothing seriously wrong. They’ll create a phony problem simply to scream about it and demand that we all do things to stop it. They’re incapable of enjoying life, and they’re hellbent on making anyone who does enjoy life as miserable, churlish, and petulant as they are.

One small point. Liberals are not the problem, the people you are describing are the polar opposite of “liberal”, they are totalitarians, and Progressive is the more correct term. Real liberals love liberty.

      • Colorado Wellington says:

Especially confusing in Europe where Commies and other assorted Socialists proudly gather under various totalitarian banners. In Germany the word Liberals (die Liberalen) still means something at least recognizable as liberal. The Commies and Nazis of all stripes hate them.

        • Adamant de-Nye-er says:

IMO Classical liberalism is much different from the modern, socialist variety. The former is the root of libertarian thought, the latter is divisive, based on class warfare, and generally used as incitement to riot. The modern kind is used to justify the establishment totalitarianism — the opposite of liberty.

      • I call them neo-liberals, but even that’s incorrect.

      • Mac says:

I agree with the last reply to my post. “Neoliberal” is the more correct term. The old term, “liberal”, perhaps involved differences in philosophy from the neoliberals, but the methods were the same: threats, violence, relentless pressure to conform to their worldview, and the infantile silencing of speech they didn’t like. The old-fashioned liberals had the Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, and the Yippies, who were all violent, anarchistic, and menacing. These days, it’s Black Lives Matter, Move On, and Antifa. So, I don’t really agree with your view. So-called “liberalism” has always involved totalitarianism, bullying, and the forced adoption of their views and speech.

In my opinion, the people who love liberty are not liberals. It’s constitutionalists and libertarians who love liberty. Liberals live for statism, and they believe individual liberty is backward, antiquated, and selfish.

        • The term liberal, going back to the 18th century (and probably earlier), are what we now call classical liberal. Think Adam Smith and Edmund Burke. They were not for “threats, violence, relentless pressure to conform to their worldview, and the infantile silencing of speech they didn’t like.” They were, in fact, liberal as the word denotes: one who supports liberty. Neo-liberals are really Progressive supporters totalitarianism, whether it be the neo-liberals of the 1920s, 1960s, or today.

Yeah, they (not real liberals but these clowns) are cultist nuts who apparently didn’t get hugged enough as kids.

How ’bout calling ’em left-wing liberal Democrats.

On another note – We have Direct TV and we’ve been tuned in to CBS all night and during the football game, a terse message came on the screen that there had been no user activity for the last four hours and then after a minute or so, it winked off. There was some sort of “Energy efficiency” logo attached to the notice.

    The world is truly nuts.

    • Rah says:

We have Direct TV also and ours does the same. If you don’t push a button on the controller for four hours it assumes your not watching. Since I sleep at varying odd hours and use the TV to lull myself into the sleep mode I like it.

    • Rah says:

I wish I could find a TV provider that doesn’t continually try to rip me off. Every few months I have to threaten them with discontinuation of service to keep their bill from getting ridiculous.
