Donald Trump Vs. The Experts

Science is the belief in the ignorance of the experts”
– Richard Feynman

Our top climate experts predicted a warm winter in the East, using their top climate models.

Meanwhile, President Trump states the obvious – triggering the left to lose whatever little was left of their minds.

    Lol!
Finally we have a President who is looking at data and not the hype.
    Thanks to you and others!

  2. Gail Combs says:

Newest Trump tweet is even better:

    Donald J. Trump
    ✔ @realDonaldTrump

It’s not climate change,it’s global warming.Don’t let the dollar sucking wiseguys change names midstream because the first name didn’t work

    ROTFLMAO!!!!

  3. Andy DC says:

That is fantastic! It has been been said so often that Trump’s tweets are not dignified and Presidential. I believe that the tweets are very necessary, because without them, how else would his message ever get through to Americans? Through the LSM? That is a total joke, their only interest is to demonize Trump, block his message and ultimately drive him from office. When Trump takes off the gloves as he did with his latest tweet, the blows are devastating and right on target!

  4. Gail Combs says:

    And another tweet —
    A blast from the PAST:

    Donald J. Trump
    ✔ @realDonaldTrump

This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bullshit has got to stop. Our planet is freezing, record low temps, and our GW scientists are stuck in ice

Finally we have a leader who not only sees through the bullshit, he calls BULLSHIT on the bullshit!

  6. Toni Encheff, RN, BS Biology says:

The Richard Feynman quote is out of context. Yes, you question the experts, but then you do experiments to test your new hypothesis. To the best of my knowledge, Trump has not done that.

    • tonyheller says:

      You should increase your knowledge

    • R. Shearer says:

On the contrary, bundling up has been shown to be effective against cold, over and over again.

    • RAH says:

There is very little testing done in climate science beyond basic physics. For ultra complex and chaotic Climate and weather observation is the key. And anyone can watch and record to see if a hypothesis is being confirmed or falsified by observations.

For example. This “scientist”, claims that a the recent cold is in part due to “climate change” meaning a warming climate.
      https://www.usatoday.com/story/weather/2017/12/28/its-cold-outside-but-doesnt-mean-climate-change-isnt-real/987948001/

“Even this week’s cold weather is probably being caused at least in part by global warming, said Jonathan Overpeck, a climate scientist at the University of Michigan.
The Arctic is warming much faster than most of the planet, leading to a dramatic decline in the amount of sea ice that covers the region each winter. That loss of ice has allowed more heat to transfer from the ocean to the atmosphere, causing a weakening of the polar vortex winds over the Arctic. Those winds usually “insulate the rest of the Northern Hemisphere” from freezing Arctic temperatures, Overpeck said. But as the winds have weakened, it’s gotten easier for freezing Arctic air to swoop further south, he said.

“That is due to the warming of the Arctic, which in turn is due to human emissions of greenhouse gases and primarily burning of fossil fuels,” Overpeck said in an interview.
Arctic warming may also be contributing to the long-term drying of the U.S. Southwest, although the science on that front is less certain, Overpeck said. Unlike most of the rest of North America, the Southwest is warmer than usual right now, and 2017 will “without a doubt” go down as one of the region’s hottest years ever measured, Overpeck said.
“This is contributing to our record wildfires in California, and the drying out of vegetation that’s leading to those wildfires, and the drying out of the Southwest’s water,” he said.”

      Lets break this down.
First off the weather pattern this winter is virtually identical to that of the winters of 77-78. Tony has shown that here multiple times. But what he hasn’t mentioned is that during that time as now there were La Nina conditions. He has also demonstrated in post after post that back in the 70’s many scientists were saying that pattern was caused by global cooling and that during that time Arctic ice extent was high and glaciers were growing and advancing!

Yet here we now have a “climate scientist” claiming that his nearly identical weather pattern is the result of warming that has caused
‘The Arctic is warming much faster than most of the planet, leading to a dramatic decline in the amount of sea ice that covers the region each winter. That loss of ice has allowed more heat to transfer from the ocean to the atmosphere, causing a weakening of the polar vortex winds over the Arctic. Those winds usually “insulate the rest of the Northern Hemisphere” from freezing Arctic temperatures, Overpeck said. But as the winds have weakened, it’s gotten easier for freezing Arctic air to swoop further south, he saids.”

Using Overpeck’s “science” the MWP (Medieval Warm Period) when ice extent was very low and glaciers were retreating or losing mass and the Noresmen were living in southern Greenland should have had severe winters in N. America and Europe. They didn’t.

      Who you going to believe?

Now lets take on the claims about the recent California wildfires.
Fact is that what some “climate scientists” claimed would be a “permanent drought” in that state and the SW US was ended in flooding rains and massive snows in the mountains.

That heavy precipitation resulted in heavier than average growth of annual vegetation resulting in heavy growth of ground cover. That ground cover then died and dried out during the summer as is the norm and that drying was exacerbated by dry Santa Anna winds (Dry winds going down slope from the mountains) which are no unusual at all. In addition California has large groves of invasive Eucalyptus trees which produce flammable oil and shed their bark every year and that added to the problem of both ground cover tinder and fuel once the fires got started. Add in the fact that the California government had cut funding for clearing ground cover and dead fall and has for years practiced poor forest management practices and what happened was predictable. And the spread of the fires could not be controlled because of strong Diablo winds coming ashore (opposite direction of the Santa Anna winds). Joe Bastardi predicted a bad wild fire season for California this year way back in April.

All in all what you see are that “climate scientists” today are ambulance chasers. They predict nothing correctly but rush to claim that any weather event or weather related disaster is a sign of what the claim is happening. It is so obvious to anyone that pays attention and applies just a little critical thought to their claims.

    • AndyG55 says:

Well Toni….. they got the BS part right, !!

      The Hypothesis is “global arming”

It has been tested.. and FAILED MAGNIFICENTLY !!

    • arn says:

      Now Mister RN,BS in Biology,
i have a few questions for you.

Which kind of experiments do you need to
to prove someone wrong who is always failing with his predictions?
When someone is lying again and again and again
(climate gate, sea level rise, tempered data, arctic still there, snow still there, new york not underwater, maledives(and thousands other islands) did not drowne, unorecendent hurricane drought, record number of polar bears))
than he is obviously a liar. You don’t need experiments for that-even a 5 year old would ralise this.

Why do you need experiments to prove scientists wrong who predict AGW when the very same Global Warming Scientists
were the ones promoting Global Cooling until the end of the 70ies.
Now-where has the coming ice age gone?

    • gator69 says:

Ms Encheff, a new hypothesis is not necessary when one is discarding a failed hypothesis. CAGW has been disproven through decades of observation. When one finds that a hypothesis is a failure, then one moves on, leaving that failure to the dust bin of history. To the best of my knowledge, the cult of CO2 has not done this.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

      Ms Encheff,

Am I not permitted to question the experts without doing subsequent experiments? Is that the proper context of the Feynman quote? Even if those experts make extraordinary claims and demand extraordinary actions to counter their hypothesized outcomes and despite the fact that their predictions have been failing at an alarming rate?

And how should I behave since the experts themselves don’t conduct experiments to test their hypothesis?

Also, would you kindly provide a test scenario that would falsify the catastrophic anthropogenic global warming hypothesis? So far I’ve been told by the experts that all observed weather patterns are consistent with it.

Is there anything at all that would possibly disprove the catastrophic anthropogenic global warming hypothesis?

Thank you in advance for your scientific guidance and sharing your expertise.

      • Advocatus Diaboli says:

“Am I not permitted to question the experts without doing subsequent experiments?”

[sarc] Stop after “the experts” above. The bottom line is No, you’re not supposed to question the experts, period. After all, these Scientists have dedicated their professional lives to figuring out what’s going on so that ignorant rabble like us can go on playing Candy Crush without worrying our little heads over such complicated stuff. Who are we to question their conclusions or their competence?
        [/sarc]

    • Justa Joe says:

      Toni Encheff, RN, BS Biology,
The burden of proof is on the people making the outlandish, frequently proven false, and absurd claims. Yes, I’m talking about you warmists.

Time to re-direct from Toni to climate experts’ forecast for N. American warm winter:

“Missed by that much, again.” Comment earlier today by renowned climate expert Maxwell Smart while comparing actual December temperatures and current 10 day temperature outlook with the graphic that begins this post.
