  1. Gator says:

Q: How is she a game changer?

    A: She isn’t.

She spouts the same old tired and debunked claims we have heard for over 30 years now.

She is a “same gamer”. Her parents should be locked up for child abuse, and contributing to mass truancy.

  2. GeoNC says:

The world has gone full retard. Never go full retard.

  3. Ben Vincent says:

She just has that perfect Aryan stare.

  4. arn says:

Miss little kid Thunberg fits perfectly Laframboises book title
“The delinquent teenager who was mistaken for the worlds top climate expert”
-and this book was released 7 years ago.

Besides that she proves the Obama Effect is real = the MSM can pull any idiot out of their butts and turn him into a messiah.(+whatever the US media says, the media in Europe will instantly copy it)

  5. R Shearer says:

I like her polyester jacket and shirt with plastic buttons.

    • KevinPaul says:

Yeah if she was serious about an end of oil, she’d be in sackcloth or sealskin. And doesn’t she know it’s rude to point, only Uncle Sam can do that.

    • arn says:

But at least her hair looks a little bit messi and unwashed,
just as one would expect it from a lesb… feminist eco authority.

Even her dress is so woke and genderfluid.
      So the targetaudience is obvious.

  6. Crispin in Waterloo says:

Do not intervene when your opponent is making a really big mistake.

    Repeat after me: “She’s perfect.”

    • Rud Istvan says:

Perfect. And she is now sailing across the Atlantic to avoid a jet carbon footprint to a climate conference where she will share her hard won climate science wisdom. That will not end well either.

  7. Bruce of Newcastle says:

She’s in the process of getting an education:

Teen Climate Change Activist Sails from England to NYC for Summit Sans Toilet, Shower

We can learn from history. If she has internet during the trip she might like to look up a Mr Thomas Crapper. Then after a couple weeks of wishing for a loo with a door she can look up some historical climate data.

  8. John Francis says:

I think you’re looking at Nobel Prize material.
They gave Obama one for no reason.

    • Gerald Machnee says:

      And Gore for less.

      • skwilli says:

The kid that takes pictures of dogs he pets really does deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. He brings joy to thousands every day. Politicians and climate scientists never bring joy to anyone.

    • arn says:

      For 2 reasons.

      1) for being black

      2) for having it now so much easier to continue george bushs wars.
With such a skin color and such a prize wars can only be good by default.

  9. EternalOptimist says:

For years, decades, we have been asking for the big-mouths to live by their wild screed. Because we know it will end in disaster
Now st. Theta Grunberg is doing it.. she will end up getting a very valuable lesson in life.

put the rescue services on standby

  10. ColA says:

How dare you all insult and demean St Greta Thunderpants, shame on you!

  11. scott allen says:

I feel really sorry for this poor girl, she suffers from Asperger (a form of autism) and is OCD. She is the perfect front for these people as she really can not think for herself but is parroting lines she is given and just repeats them. You could tell a person with Asperger to go out and commit any type of crime and with the right cues they would comply. Shame on the global warming people for using her, sad, very sad indeed.

    • Johansen says:

Scott, actually you are dead on with your 2nd to last sentence. They are some of the nicest kids I’ve ever taught in class, very compliant, very easy to convince. You could very easily scare them half to death with talk of global warming, or anything else

    • CK says:

Yes. And someone is making a dime off of her name for sure. Maybe her parents, maybe someone is using them too. But she’s definitely being used and there’s people behind the curtain making money off her.

      • Gator says:

They aren’t making money off of Greta, but they are investing millions in in her in hopes of a return later…

A closer look at the financing of Greta Thunberg, the Extinction Rebellion (“XR”) and Fridays For Future reveals that this movement is being funded by the richest people on Earth.

Among the founders and periphery of the “Climate Emergency Fund” CEF are Rory Kennedy, the daughter of Robert Kennedy, and Aileen Getty, daughter of the late John Paul Getty, along with the “philanthropist” Trevor Neilson, whose career has included various forms of collaboration with Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, George Soros, and Ted Turner.

According to the Guardian, the CEF has already transferred EU€500,000 to XR, which will soon be followed by “ten times as much” money.

Breitbart also published internal documents from XR, revealing further five and six-figure donations by Soros, the European Climate Foundation, the Tides Foundation, and Greenpeace Furka Holdings AG, among others.

Such amounts, of course, are proverbial “peanuts” for jet-set members who usually travel on private planes, helicopters, and megayachts.

        Translation from…

  12. Nicholas McGinley says:

Reminds me of those kids from that old movie, Children of the Damned!

    • northernont says:

Exactly. It’s the same creepy pose used in the 1978 re-make cult classic “Invasion Of The Body Snatchers” theatrical poster releases as seen here.

In that movie, space aliens abandon their dying world and travel to Earth, landing in San Francisco and start assimilating people by duplicating them, killing the originals in the process and returning them to dust. The resulting duplicates are devoid of all human emotion thereby ensuring conformity.

      • Weylan McAnally says:

The 1978 version is my favorite of all the Body Snatcher movies (including The Invasion, Body Snatchers,). Donald Sutherland is great in it. The director even has the star of the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Kevin McCarthy, running through the streets screaming about the impending doom as a group of duplicates chase him. There is also a quick scene during the opening credits that shows a priest on a playground swing with some kids. Pause the video and you will see that the priest is actually Robert Duval.
Of course the ultimate body snatcher style plot is John Carpenter’s The Thing. Just a tremendously well done horror/thriller movie that should have been nominated for Best Picture.

  13. gregole says:

Scary kid. I hope this is just another short-lived fad.

  14. Steven Fraser says:

The winds are not favorable this or next week for this voyage, and the 2-metre temps are in the low ’60s F.

  15. Bob Grise says:

While the news media jumped all over the 108 high temp in Paris France recently, at about the same time I was in International Falls, MN last month, when they broke an all time LOW temp record that was on the books since the late 1800’s. I believe it was 37, at about 5am when everybody was asleep. It was 37 for about 5 minutes. By the time I got out of bed the temp had rebounded to 60 and later that day low 70’s. Beautiful day. FYI, the Paris France temp forecast for the next 10 days is pretty darn cool. Lucky if they hit low 70’s for highs. But that won’t make the news.

    • arn says:

Right now we have sub 20 C temperatures here
for several days which is really strange for high midsummer and global warming.

At least the good side effect is that the bunch of mosquitos
posing as scientists and journalists terrorising people with AGW armageddon is silent for some days.

  16. Toto's fan says:

I want to go back to the days of coyote beautiful with Beethovens moonlight sonata.
    Miss them coyotes bad

  17. John Collis says:

‘The teenager, who refuses to travel by air because of its environmental impact, said of climate sceptics: “There’s always going to be people who don’t understand or accept the united science, and I will just ignore them, as I’m only acting and communicating on the science.”‘

    • Tel says:

You must admit … the way she built her own yacht out of nothing but recycled paper drinking straws was particularly impressive. If Greta Thunberg can travel the world without needing plastics, aluminum, steel, copper or fossil fuels, then anyone could do it.

I say, give her the opportunity to take command of Sweden for the next five years and make that country an example for the whole world. We have much to learn!

    • Joel says:

Hah! Ms. Thurnberg is doing the equivalent of sticking her fingers in her ears and shouting, “Lal lal lal lal…”

How very grown up. But considering that’s what most climate alarmists already do, it’s pretty understandable.

“It’s science!” they cry. “Don’t waste my time with your facts!”

I’m sure it’s been brought up before, but I can see an easy link (at least here in the States) between the increasing push to ram the Socialist Climate Agenda down our throats and the simultaneous desire of many of those same people to take away our 2nd Amendment freedom.

  18. T says:

Danish meteorological Institute, august 15 (today) now say greenland summit measurements (especially for the 1. and 2. of august which were record high) for whole summer was too high due to malfunctioning stations:ålinger-på-toppen-af-indlandsisen/ar-AAFN9Eg?ocid=spartandhp
…in English, they were snowcovered and therefor warmer.

    • tonyheller says:

More likely malfunctioning scientists who got caught

    • Nicholas McGinley says:

Funny how they never accidently say it was colder than it really was.

      • Dan Paulson says:

Actually if you look into the ARGO sea temperature records you will find that every time they discover extremely cold waters they simply delete the data, since it simply isn’t possible to have anomalous cold water.

  19. The Ol' Seadog says:

Greta Thunberg is out of her tiny mind….. I have crossed the Atlantic many times in both directions in ships ranging from 5,000 to 60,000 DWT tons.To attempt to cross it in yacht of a few DWT tons at this time of the year – the height of the Hurricane Season- because she does not want to fly or go on a passenger boat is the height of incredulous stupidity, and those encouraging her and her parents are criminal.

  20. Brodirt says:

She is literally suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

  21. Mac says:

This kid scares the ever loving crap out of me. The way the left has turned her into the little totalitarian darling of the year is nauseating, but predictable. She’d look perfect with a red kerchief around her neck, holding an AK-47 aimed at a middle-aged man’s head.

  22. Taphonomic says:

Her finger point looks just like Bill Clinton in Epstein’s painting of him.

  23. Mark F Lokowich says:

With all the “surging”, “more frequent” severe weather … like hurricanes, SHE MIGHT MAKE IT HERE A LITTLE QUICKER! I want to see if I can catch a ride down to Puerto Rico, after they arrive!

  24. Jimmy Haigh says:

Well it’s been a very quiet hurricane season in the Atlantic so far. Will the Gore effect (or Thunberg effect…) come into play?

  25. John Collis says:

The Scottish government are now authorising the school strikes

  26. TomRude says:

As expected, the CBC has published an article on Ste Greta, the sailing virgin:
The journalist Susan Ormiston is not investigating much deeper than this:
“The climate activist from Sweden is both humble and keenly aware of the powerful pulpit she now occupies. In just one year, she’s inspired millions, particularly youth, to rally around a wounded climate.
She’s met the Pope, addressed European parliaments, chastised CEOs at the World Economic Forum and secured a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. ”
“Thunberg began protesting outside the Swedish parliament in August 2018, a solitary figure with a sign and a worry that too few adults she knew were consumed by climate change.”
Yes, Ormiston is not even questioning that the profile of some supposedly lonely pimpled teen protester could be suddenly raised to world celebrity status in 12 months. Nope, in Ormiston’s world, all this is, well, normal. Try it at home, next time around with your own teen…
“She arrived in England by train, refusing to fly, eschewing the heavy carbon footprint of air travel. So to cross the Atlantic Ocean, she’s sailing on an 18-metre elite racing yacht, the Malizia II, with two professional skippers, her dad, and a documentary filmmaker.”
Wearing petroleum derived fiber clothing? No question from Ormiston. Riding a Monaco owned racing yacht -hardly manufactured without its own carbon footprint, nor owned by some uber-class wealthy whose carbon footprint goes through the roof- does not seem to motivate Ormiston’s investigative reflexes.
The CBC sucking up suggests the documentary film of the Atlantic crossing will likely make it on Canadian taxpayers’ funded official agitprop media.
“But the winds blowing against Thunberg are also gathering force. And attacks on her in social media are personal.”
“There are always going to be people who don’t understand or don’t accept the united science, and I will just ignore them because, I mean, I’m only acting and communicating on the science, and if they don’t like that, then, I mean, what have I got to do about that?”
The “united science”? This is the new brand of science and at 16, without any scientific degree, she knows this IS the truth, and she is “acting”, “communicating” it. She is a tool. But this does not concern Ormiston:
“Greta and her dad will use a bucket for a toilet and sleep on bunks they can winch up tight against the hull in stormy weather.”
Greta is sacrificing herself for the good of Mankind and to save the climate that we loved so much… Thank you Ormiston for this hagiography worthy of apostolic faith.
    “Make America Greta Again.”
Miss Ormiston’s investigative journalism is as dead as the famous Monty Python parrot. As for the CBC, a member of the ICIJ consortium, its “investigative team” remains famous for having called George Soros office when the name of the billionaire philanthropist appeared in the Paradise papers, just to tell us that their call was not returned, EOM.
The apple does not fall far from the tree.

  27. KevinPaul says:

Little does she realise this same “united science” methodology had a very successful precedent also purposely aimed at youth in the 1930s.

“With the patina of legitimacy provided by “racial” science experts, the Nazi regime carried out a program of approximately 400,000 forced sterilizations and over 275,000 euthanasia deaths that found its most radical manifestation in the death of millions of “racial” enemies in the Holocaust.”
