Very interesting. More information in 10 minutes than a ton of books

Of course they are growing, anybody seeing a cooling trend? I live in Madrid, Spain, and summers are very hot here. This past week, till now, it’s been around 30ºC, oscillating between 28 and 32. There were nights of 14ºC. This is not normal, it should be more like between 35 and 40ºC and 20-24ºC at night. I used to sleep with the fan pointing at me all summer. And yes there were cold waves, buts after the cold wave has gone, the temperature dropped to 30. Again it’s not normal. And the news only says that ”temperatures below normal”, but when there are heat waves they claim it like it’s the end of the world. So yeah, thank you Tony, hope this man made climate change none sense goes away at some point.

Succinct and to the point. Well done!

Apparently the recent “record” temperatures in Greenland were fake news…

“Greenland’s ‘Record Temperature’ denied – the data was wrong”

From the “But, but, wait! Our algorithms can adjust for that!” department comes this tale of alarmist woe. Greenland’s all-time record temperature wasn’t a record at all, and it never got above freezing there.

But the massive spike in melting estimated by the DMI model is still considered “real” despite the temperature data being bogus.

Who needs data when you have models?

“On 15 July 1942, due to poor weather and limited visibility, six P-38 fighters of 94th Fighter Squadron/1st FG and two B-17 bombers of a bombardment squadron were forced to return to Greenland en route to the British Isles during Operation Bolero. The aircraft were forced to make emergency landings on the ice field. All the crew members were subsequently rescued. However, Glacier Girl, along with the unit’s five other fighters and the two B-17s, were eventually buried under 268 feet (82 m) of snow and ice that had built up over the ensuing decades.

“Fifty years later, in 1992, the plane was brought to the surface by members of the Greenland Expedition Society after years of searching and excavation. The aircraft was eventually transported to Middlesboro, Kentucky, where it was restored to flying condition.[1] The excavation of Glacier Girl was documented in an episode of The History Channel’s “Mega Movers” series, titled “Extreme Aircraft Recovery”.”

And, on the other side of the world… National Ge- [fear porn] -ographic boldy claimed, just yesterday: “West Antarctica is melting—and it’s our fault. The fingerprints of human-caused climate change have made it to Antarctica, a new study shows.” August 12, 2019.

If this planet is truly heading out of the Little Ice Age (LIA) then the polar ice should recede, mountain glaciers should reduce, the temperate areas of the globe should warm. The Arctic tundra should thaw out (releasing CO2 and methane), giving these vast areas back to productive life, while ensuring the carbon and water cycles are given that extra spurt they need to speed-up and help to move closer to a climate optimum where plant life flourishes and thus does animal life.

If however the poles and mountain glaciers remain in equilibrium, or grow for any significant time, then due attention must be paid to the probability of the world slipping back to a cooler era. Have we contingencies for such a cooling? How will windmills and solar panels power society’s needs if (or when) it turns colder? How will the global ‘just-in-time’ ordering system supply us, a system built on the idea of having extremely good communication and transport structure, and minimal local stock warehoused.

Polar and mountain glacier ice stabilizing or increasing is NOT a good sign, it is not what is needed. Polar and mountain glacier ice should naturally recede if this planet has truly left the LIA.
