In 1975, climatologists were pessimistic politicians would “take action” to stop global cooling, so they wanted to spread soot on the Arctic to melt the polar ice cap.
But no worries, politicians are primed to take climate action now.

I talked to a man a few years ago who was in college then, and he remembered the cooling scare and a professor talking about spreading soot on the Arctic ice.
I am glad I went to college. But it was a double-edged sword. I became indoctrinated. It took a quarter-century for me to de-program.
“…that more than three million years ago—a time in which the Earth was two to three degrees Celsius warmer than the pre-industrial era—sea level was as much as 16 meters higher than the present day….The interval also marks the last time the Earth’s atmospheric CO2 was as high as today…This means that even if atmospheric CO2 stabilizes around current levels, the global mean sea level would still likely rise at least that high, if not higher.

Seems we are already doomed, so -“at this point, what difference does it make?”.
I’m not sure if you are being sarcastic or serious? I’ll assume the latter and respond as follows:
Once again as Tony so carefully points out with real data, the “study” you quote from has selectively cherry picked from the historical record.
Go back further and you see something entirely different than the above misrepresentation (i.e. temp 3C higher and CO2 the same)
See this paper:
http://ecosense.me/ecosense-wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/CO2-Emissions.pdf
Starting with figure 1 in the paper, notice average temp over the last 570 million years (time scale is logarithmic) has been +10C higher than present. Also notice average CO2 has been 2500 ppm, or 6.25 times higher than present.
Life survived and indeed flourished.
Moore’s contention is life itself has been steadily diminishing the CO2 available for plants to photosynthesize almost to the point of killing all life if it dropped below 150 ppm. It dropped to 180 ppm in the last glaciation. (and you could conclude rightly, that mankind releasing fossil fuel derived CO2 has helped nature return to safer levels regards the essence of Life – CO2)
He has a video presentation worth watching – there are several versions of the same thing but here is a good one:

If you were being sarcastic, I apologize. But the above paper and video are still worth viewing.
Oops, I gave a broken link in my post.
here is the correct link to the video:

So a bunch of socialist dropouts from Clown College are going to CNN to bloviate for a day about climate. The highlight would be all of them arriving in a single Volkswagen Beetle. It will only go downhill from there.
But it’s sustainable!

Didn’t they outsource the job to China?
