  1. Ulric Lyons says:

From 1973 the solar wind was faster/hotter, driving a positive Arctic Oscillation and North Atlantic Oscillation regime, and giving a zonal circulation pattern. This drove multi-year La Nina and colder AMO and Arctic, and an associated increase in mid latitude low cloud cover. From late 1976 saw a sudden drop in the solar wind strength, and a shift to negative AO/NAO conditions through 1977.

  2. Disillusioned says:

But because they are climate scientists, you are not allowed to question them.

Johannes Kepler (born 1571 in Germany) and Galileo Galilei (born 1564 in Italy) made independent observations without any knowledge of the other – from a new-fangled contraption called a telescope. They were not allowed to question the ‘consensus’ of academic elite of their day, also.

It took another century before the “97%” would get on board with those two brilliant minds (who had been long gone, pushing up daisies) before the fact that the earth is really NOT the center of the universe was finally accepted.

For how long had geocentrism been the scientific consensus? Since Ptolemy, who lived in the second century AD. Ayup – Geocentrism had been the “scientific consensus” for a whopping 1400 years! You could not question it, without ridicule, let alone the possibility of imprisonment if you made too many waves.

I sent you an email related to Australian Environment ministers reply regarding my questions on homogenisation. If you had a chance to respond back to me that would be great.

In meantime all should see this great video from a true scientist, Willie Soon, regarding temperatures and the Sun. Lots of cold weather ahead …

    • Robert Gipson says:

You sent Tony an email? What’s his email address? I have a very interesting Ted talk to send him, as much as, as a rule, I loathe Ted talks.

  4. James Dawson says:

alternative theories of climate are presented in this book

    The Meteorologist

The Met. Man to all is a creature so rare
With his feet on the ground and his head in the air,
He knows about wind and the gales that do blow
Or the rain as it freezes and all about snow.

He’ll tell you twice hourly, ‘bout a thing he calls ‘Lows’
And say where it comes from and say where it goes.
He’ll waffle for hours about ridges and troughs
But you must never laugh ‘cause he doesn’t like scoffs.

He’ll warn about rain and flooding and drought
And all of the things that we can do without,
Now give him a chart and he’ll draw wide and far
A line with a curve that he calls ‘Isobar’.

He’ll keep you enthralled on the edge of your chair
Waiting all week for a weekend that fair,
He’ll threaten a mist or a type of damp fog
You’ll likely get rain with some cats and a dog.

He comes dressed in clothes not always quite right
For a tempest, or dust storm. But that is the plight
Of a man that is now forever to stay
Whether we like it, or if we say nay.

But a challenge has come from the back of beyond
As the man in a suit is replaced by a blonde,
Now we don’t mind ‘bout the lies and the guesses
As we study the form and the shape of her dresses.

The Highs and the Lows have new meaning by far
We’re entranced by her eyes as they shine like a star
The sighing of air as she breathes and she blows
Keeps us watching telly for all of her shows.

Us addicts of weather are grumpy old men
Who dream whether Heather will come back again
But the best thing of all, that ratings can’t rob
If she’s wrong, dead wrong, she still has a job.

  6. Gummans Gubbe says:

Piers Corbyn has talked about the polar vortex for some time now. As it gets colder the vortex expands and get more wiggly. He is an astrophysicist who regularly speaks at “climate science denial events”. And his webpage even cites a guy called Steven Goddard.

  7. Robert Gipson says:

When the Big Lie of global warming can no longer be kept afloat, when the they can no longer deny (deniers!) the in controvertible evidence of a cooling trend… they will simply say that CO2 is causing the cooling.

  8. Disillusioned says:

As it cools, I also expect tornado activity to pick up again. The warmists have gotten everything backwards. Orwell is rolling in his grave.

    • rah says:

I agree. Greater contrasts in temperatures and pressures means greater potential for storms which produce violent weather. Even with the great advances in radar and satellite imagery and resulting improvements in severe weather forecasting we get far fewer tornado watches and warnings here in central Indiana now than I remember having in the 60’s.

  9. Doreen says:

    Environmental Constitution for Global Governance

Is climate change about the weather, or about the WHETHER man pulls together to avert centralized totalitarian one world government before it’s too late?
