I have no doubt that some will say there was a good and legitimate reason for adjusting the satellite data. Okay, I can see where one data set my be wrong, but ALL of them?

The bottom line with regards to the hiatus is all of the data sets except for the new NOAA/NCDC data set show a hiatus (with NASA LOTI being the other data set coming closest to not showing a hiatus).

    Temperature Record Adjustment Timeline:

DATA ADJUSTMENT #1 (Land Temperatures – 2015 (this was the new dataset Curry mentions above))

Global warming ‘pause’ caused by glitch in data

DATA ADJUSTMENT #2 (Troposphere RSS Temperatures – 2017)

Major correction to satellite data shows 140% faster warming since 1998

    DATA ADJUSTMENT #3 (Ocean Temperatures – 2019)

Ocean temperature data shows warming is accelerating faster than we thought*
“In the past when [the models and records] didn’t agree so well, part of that was a problem with the observations, not the models,” he said.*

DATA ADJUSTMENT #4&5 (Australian Land Temperatures – 2019)
Heat on Bureau of Meteorology over data records rewrite

The Bureau of Meteorology has rewritten Australia’s temperature records for the second time in six years, greatly increasing the rate of warming.

So within 4 years we have all data sets showing a “pause” to not showing a “pause”… interesting.

I wonder why? Maybe Democratic politics?

THE ABOVE PATTERN LOOKS FRAUDULENT… IMHO

Also note, the new RSS is from 70 south to 80 north.
The former RSS was from 80 south to 80 north.

It is especially in the south, the Earth is cooling, and they now leave out some of that.

The bipolar seesaw is seen in data on all timescales.
When it is cooling in the north, it is warming in the south.
When it is warming in the north, it is cooling in the south.

As the southern hemisphere is mostly oceans, while the big land masses are on the northern hemisphere, it is possible to get “warming” globally, even if the total energy of the system is the same or falling. (And you can get “global cooling”, when the bipolar seesaw is turned around.)

In thermo dynamics (statistical physics), temperature is an intensive property (like pressure and others), while energy and volumen are extensive properties. It is possible to get flawed conclusions, if you sum and average intensive properties. You can do that with extensive properties.

If such charts are made with the numbers and printing a little more clear and easy to see, they would be great for sending to our scientifically ignorant Senators and Congressmen.

They need this kind of information far, far more than your readers do — obviously the great majority of them have absolutely no idea of the scamming that is going on.

  4. DHR says:

Dr. Humlum at climate4you.com has a different presentation of the changes Dr. Mears made. It is quite dramatic.

    • BThis says:

DHR, which presentation do you refer to on Dr. Humlum’s Climate4You.com site? Can you provide a URL?

      • Disillusioned says:

Huh?!? You typed it out! Putting Climate4You.com in your browser and hitting Enter will get you there immediately.

On that page, look for the link to RSS. Click it.
