Plummeting Autumn Temperatures In The US

For the second year in a row, October 1 to November 15 US temperatures have ranked  among the three coldest on record.

Final stats aren’t available yet, but this is what has been reported so far. Both 2018 and 2019 will rank among the three coldest.

Snow doesn’t lie, but the Washington Post does.

Yes, but… “scientists say”: a major symptom of Global Warming is record breaking cold temperatures and heavy snows. Only when we reduce our carbon emissions will the cold temperatures and snows stop. Which will be good for the ski industry again as the employees will have more time to rest with later openings and there will be less wear and tear on the ski lift equipment (which could save lives due to avoided failures). Also, when the globe starts cooling again will there be less freezing of crops and no early sea ice on the Hudson Bay, which tricks polar bears into going out on the pack ice to hunt seals and then becoming too fat to hunt effectively (leading to starvation).

Some relevant Climate Gate emails that pertain to this are:

In another e-mail, Thorne stated: “I also think the science is being manipulated to put a political spin on it which for all our sakes might not be too clever in the long run.”

One (CRU) researcher foresaw some very troubling consequences: “What if climate change appears to be just mainly a multi-decadal natural fluctuation? They’ll kill us probably…”

Thanks for the link, it was a very good compliation showing how those behind the IPCC and many other warmist bodies know full well that their science is fraudulent, and have another agenda.

  3. Mark Frank says:

Tony continues to confuse the USA with the world.

The world has a whole has been warm. The USA has been cold. There is some evidence that the first causes the second – but that is open to debate.

    • Gator says:

Mark, try reading the title of the post once again. If you still have not figured out that your comment was stupid, have someone who is not completely ignorant explain how wrong you are.

      Rinse and repeat.

    • Netprophet says:

The world does not have the weather station history or distribution anywhere near as close as the US. If warming is occurring why would the region with the most extensive widespread and reliable set of data not show it?

  4. Mark Frank says:

Read the whole of Tony’s post. He finishes with the Washington Post headline about it being the warmest October on record as though the previous material about the USA somehow disproves it.

More to the point – the real scientists predicted that warming Arctic temperatures would lead to cold spells in North America and Europe back in 2010. Go to: for an explanation. I recommend the whole video, but this excerpt about the link between warming arctic and cold spells in NA and Europe will explain and direct you to the supporting research.

    • Gator says:

Mark, “climate experts” have predicted that global warming will cause everything. It is a running joke amongst real scientists, I’ve read that tripe. And every year is suddenly the “hottest evuh” once alarmist fraudsters finish torturing the data. Another running joke amongst real scientists.

So explain again how DC and the US constitute the globe Mark.

PS – Where is your post condemning the “hottest in three million years” claim?

      • Mark Frank says:

I agree! Let’s stick to the real scientists not the “climate experts”.

Some of those “climate experts” make daft alarmist predictions, others dream up daft conspiracy theories amongst the world’s climatologists. That’s why, if you want the truth, you should to turn to reputable sources such national academies of science and ignore the press, the media and the blogosphere (including this one).

If you can take 30 minutes to listen to the video I linked to above, you will hear how remarkable successful real climatologists have been in predicting what will happen so far. Of course you may prefer not to listen to any view contrary to your own beliefs. That is your choice but it won’t make you any better informed.

        • Gator says:

Mark, I have spent over forty years studying climatology, I don’t need to watch any video propaganda. I started as a climatology student at a major university over four decades ago, after studying geology and ice ages for ten years. You have much catching up to do, and I suggest you study climatology at a reputable university after first spending several years as a geology student. Then maybe you will have the chops to come back here and discuss this with some semblance of intelligence, instead of parroting alarmist BS.

I am not the party needing to be better informed. Psychological projection will only get you so far Mark.

          • Terry Shipman says:

Gator, I appreciate the replies you have made to Mark in this thread. My degree is in history which is why I like Tony’s blog so much. He researches source material as any good historian would do. Mark’s assertion that climatologists predicted that warm would cause cold is clearly contradicted by their earlier predictions that winters would become warmer and snow would become a thing of the past. Just as they predicted that the Arctic would have completely melted by now. When their predictions fail they change the narrative.

I wonder just how much ice and snow the Arctic and Greenland had in 1,000 AD when the Vikings colonized Greenland during the Medieval Warm Period? It is certainly colder today than it was back then. Oh, but I forget, Mark’s friends, the climatologists, obliterated the historical records which demonstrate the historicity of the MWP. Yes, we all remember the hockey stick fraud. Even today they are engaging in fraud by changing other historical records suggesting that it is warmer today than during the 1930’s. That is pure BS, as Tony has demonstrated in this blog.

Catching people in the act of changing historical records ought to, by itself, be enough to convince everyone that Global Warming is a scam. We live in a climate optimum right now with NO climate emergency anywhere except for the usual bad weather events. But I’m afraid, with the sun descending into a deep solar minimum, we will have a true climate emergency. But it will be an emergency of cold, not warm. We could be seeing this even now with the problems farmers are having in Canada and the northern US. This, after winter held on this spring with cold and wet. And history will record it all in the years to come.

          • Gator says:

Thanks for the note Terry. I am a huge history buff myself, and have an acute hatred for revisionists.

Catching people in the act of changing historical records ought to, by itself, be enough to convince everyone that Global Warming is a scam.

The left has a separate set of rules that apply only to them. You would think that a VPOTUS who bragged on camera that he extorted another country, in defense of the corrupt company for which his son illegitimately works, would be enough for prosecution.

Leftists know they can literally get away with murder, so they do…

        • Jonathan Ranes says:

You put the words “successful real climatologists”, not sure if I have ever laughed so hard in my life, now that there is funny!

    • KevinPaul says:

“the real scientists predicted that warming Arctic temperatures would lead to cold spells in North America and Europe back in 2010.” Because it was already happening contrary to what these egg faced boffins had earlier predicted.
Tony has exposed this many times, near the bottom of the below post, notice what the WP said about cherry blossoms.
Take the Red pill and detach from the “Program” you will recognise they are playing you like a tambourine.

    • Jack Locke says:

Instead of a potholer video from April this year, can you link to the 2010 predictions from real scientists that you referenced?

    • KevinPaul says:

HaHaHa….. Potholer…… get real…… “reputable sources such national academies of science” is that like the paleontologists who poo-pooed the geologist Alvarez for suggesting a Mesozoic epoch ending asteroid impact!

Nothings changed today you know, the arrogance of “real climate scientists” who recoil with “how dare you” when another discipline suggests counter theories.
Really how far do you get in academia being a skeptic!

“Professor Bengtsson’s resignation shows that the alleged “consensus” on dangerous global warming involves suppressing dissent by academic bullying. He emphasises that there is no consensus about how fast and how far greenhouse warming will go, let alone what can be done in response.

Evidence of such bullying emerged in the “Climategate” scandal of 2009, where some climate scientists’ emails revealed them to be ready to threaten and blackball colleagues, reporters and editors who expressed sceptical views. I talk frequently to scientists who are unconvinced that climate change is even close to being the world’s most pressing environmental problem, but who will not put their heads above the parapet for fear of what it would do to their careers.”
