The Nobel Prize committee says the he was not award the Nobel prize, and that he forged his fake document.

“1) Michael Mann has never been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

2) He did not receive any personal certificate. He has taken the diploma awarded in 2007 to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (and to Al Gore) and made his own text underneath this authentic-looking diploma.

3) The text underneath the diploma is entirely his own. We issued only the diploma to the IPCC as such. No individuals on the IPCC side received anything in 2007.”

The glaciers in Glacier National Park largely formed during the Little Ice Age, and may not have existed during the Medieval Warm Period – which Michael Mann claims didn’t exist. Ice doesn’t lie, but Michael Mann does.

Earlier this week, Michael Mann implied that a 100 degree day in Huntsville, Alabama was evidence of global warming.  Had he done any actual research, he would have known that temperatures in the Southeastern US were much hotter prior to 1960. Southeastern US USHCN stations have recorded 60,157 100º + temperature readings since the mid-19th century.

As CO2 has increased, the frequency of hot days has plummeted in the Southeastern US.

The longest 90 degree heatwave in the Southeastern US was 172 days in 1907

During the summer of 1954, Conway, Arkansas had 72 days over 100 degrees.  The last one occurring on September 27.

And in 1943, Conway had eleven days over 110F (43C.)

Beaver City, Nebraska had 103 days over 90F from March 25 to October 12, 1956

Hastings had 55 days over 100F from June 14 to September 10, 1936

Pawnee City had 18 days over 110F from July 4 to August 25, 1936

Arizona’s record heatwave occurred 85 years ago, when Buckeye had 208 days over 90 degrees from March 4th to November 11

The longest stretch of 100 degree days was 142 from April 20 to October 18, 1958 at Parker.

The longest stretch of 110 degree days was 62 at Parker from June 7 to September 12, 1902

The longest stretch of 120 degree days was nine from July 4 to August 7, 1905 at Parker

Idaho’s longest heatwave occurred in 1919, when Glenn’s Ferry had 134 days over 90F from March 31 to September 30.

Glenn’s Ferry, ID had 80 days over 100F during that same heatwave, from May 26 to September 11.

Glenn’s Ferry had seven days over 110F from July 11 to July 31, 2003.

Basin, Wyoming had 81 days over 90F from May 28 to September 11, 1913

Colony, Wyoming had 28 days over 100F from June 6 to August 20, 1988

Diversion Dam had four days over 110F from July 14 to August 1, 1988

On this date in 1926, Miami was destroyed by a major hurricane. It was the most expensive natural disaster in US history, and was blamed by climate experts on sunspots.  Atmsopheric CO2 was very low at the time.

Las Animas, Colorado had 151 days over 90F from May 5 to October 24, 1931

Las Animas had 84 days over 100F from May 12 to September 10, 1931.  This sort of heat in Colorado is completely incomprehensible now.

Las Animas had four days over 110F from June 29 to July 8, 1933
